We are seriously a real good point guard away from being a tough team to beat. There are so many good one's in the league, It shouldn't be that hard to shore up the position. Oh, and a coach who can bring a game home.

There has to be a team out there that would give up a future 2nd round pick for Ricky. Unfortunately, Rosas wouldn't deal Ricky for second rounder pick. In fact I don't think Rosas would deal Ricky for any realistic return. One thing about Rosas is that he doesn't like to admit mistakes.
1. He traded up to get Garland and missed, but wasn't willing to trade back down, which would have been an admission that he screwed up.
2. He pulled out all the stops to sign DLO as a free agent and, when he failed, he was ripe to pay the Warriors the absurd price the Wolves paid the Warriors to get him.
3. He traded for Beasley and Juancho and was determined to re-sign both as free agents no matter the price.
4. He tried to sign Ricky last year and after falling short he jumped at the first opportunity to trade for him a year later.
So he won't entertain any reasonable offers for Ricky or DLO or Juancho.... And I doubt there's much of a market for any of those three anyway. He refused to sign JMac because he traded for Ricky. Based on what we've seen from Rosas, he'll stubbornly refuse to sign JMac now even with DLO out for 6 weeks because and even though we have an open roster spot because that might be perceived as admitting a mistake.

Edwards: "I don't care about the dunk. I couldn't make shots."

Edwards didn't want to dwell on the dunk much. Says he's headed back out to get more shots up. Wanted that win.

Kat ended the game 3rd on the team on shots

Actually two PG's this season somehow could be considered worse then Rick. Aaron Holiday and Theo Maledon. I would take either for Rick. Only TJ McConnell has turned the ball over at a higher percentage this season.

Wolves starters not named Kat (12-40) 30%
Kat (8-13) 61.5%
Kat had the 3rd most shots of the starters

Not to mention they were doubling him the entire game.

I've probably written this 1,000 times... this is the NBA, not high school. For all we complain about the wrong rotations depending on what happens in each game... players repeatedly request set rotations and clearly defined roles and the highest paid, most experienced ones often have a say in those rotations. It's just the way the NBA is.
Rubio is a seasoned vet. I doubt he gets nearly as much say as Towns or others. BUT... McLaughlin is a 2-way rookie. Benching Rubio the game after he went for 20/13 with only 1 TO for a two-way rookie would not sit with a single veteran in the league... even those watching the Wolves from afar.
Does that make it right? No. Did Rubio suck balls? Yep. Was he a big reason the Wolves lost? Yep. But that's the NBA... the same game we've all watched for many years. There's really no story here.
Case in point... Fred Van Fleet was 4 - 20 fg. And he had 5 TOs. He stunk. There was no way he was being pulled for Malachi Flynn regardless if Flynn could actually play hoops or not.
[Note: Eventually, we'll all get our wish. But these things take time. The changing of the guard has happened hundreds of times previously... it's been happening for the last 20, 30, 50 years... but it rarely happens overnight from one game to the next.]

I agree which is why I said it would take big balls to bench Rubio for Jmac who isn't even signed long term. Can you believe we are playing arguably the worst PG in the league down the stretch though? Maybe he'll get it turned back around? Hope is all we have.
