I will gladly take the win! Jamal was clutch. The old guy can still play.

I know some here will continue to rag on teague and want rubio instead after 2 games but I thought teague defended rubio well tonight. Rubio came up big for the jazz down the stretch but he just isn't a closer and the jazz has no other option with hood leaving the game.

Towns needs to pass more. Belly was fantastic in his 2nd half stint. Butler play great D tonight and make big plays and is definitely a star. But its clear that the continue development of wiggins and towns into elite nba players are the keys to us being a legit contender.

Teague was solid defensively tonight. He played Ricky's passing lanes down the stretch well.

Good things continue to happen when Belly is on the court. I really think we should be closing games with him at the 4. He can defend the perimeter and he keeps the ball moving on offense. He hit a couple 3's tonight as well. He just seems like the perfect glue guy for that unit.

The bench again played really well.

I think the offense will see a boost once we can finally play a team without great rim protection. The Spurs and Jazz just have elite rim protection. Teague and Butler just don't look the same when they have no chance to finish around the hoop.

We finally showed some defensive toughness in the second half. We were rebounding better and Teague and Butler were doing a good job just making life difficult. That's the kind of play we need to bring for 4 quarters.

We tried to throw it away, but came out with a win. That's all that matters although I'm gonna be in the mental asylum before the year ends if we keep up with the late game antics that have plagued us for years.

I just got back from the game. Haven't read the thread but agree Belly needs to be on the floor closing games.

His play making, shooting (hopefully) and defense really make a difference.

I've stayed pretty neutral on Tibs but I will say the roster construction with Gibson and Gorgi on the contracts they both have isn't a wise use of resources. You could make an argument having one of them is a waste, let a long two of them is just bad!! Neither one should be on the court to close games out against the western Conference elite.

Then you look and GS and SA, they find guys in the second round who are rotation players ie J. Bell and Murray for SA. It's kinda maddening.

There is a lot of money tied up in our front court. I thought Taj was great tonight though. Gorgui on the other hand. Yikes. That's two games in a row where he looks like he doesn't belong in the NBA.

1 assist combined for Wig and Kat is not good. Man I hope that can change sooner rather than later

Just finished watching the game. All I can say is wins are great to get when you are going through the chemistry building process...

We probably win this thing going away if Thibs didn't sub Wiggins in for Belly. Wiggins for Crawford might have worked, but it's tough to take Crawford out when he is on fire!

[Edit: it was one of our better book clubs! ;-) ]

Should have subbed him for Teague instead.

It's clear tough that this team needs to establish its pecking order still. Teague is certainly out of sorts. Might as well bench Bazz add G for a month or so since they start slow anyway. And please stop posting up Taj.
