I believe this is similar to the NBA.com and B-ball reference net On/Off rating, which basically takes the net rating (Ortg-Drting) of the player while ON the court (this is the stat I have been updating regularly) and then adds to it the inverse of the team net rating when the player is OFF the court. So if Taj is a +10 while on the court and the team is a -11 while he's off the court, his net On/Off rating is +21.

Yeah, nba.com is similar, but bbref numbers are very different.

Net rt
KAT +15
TAj +10
Dieng +3
Jimmy +0
Teague -5
Wiggins -8
Bazz -9

so if you go by bbref, KAT is our most impactful player while bazz and Wiggins are similar.

Just some interesting record stats. We are a 1/4 of the way through the season and we are on pace for 48 wins.

The Wolves are 11-5 when every starter plays and 1-3 when there is a guy missing from the lineup. Wolves have the best record in the west vs other west teams tied with the Rockets (wolves are 9-3 vs the west, Rockets 8-2). Wolves have yet to lose a game in the division with a 4-0 record. 7-3 at home and 5-5 on the road.

The wolves are 3-6 vs teams over .500 and are 9-2 vs teams below .500 (with the 2 losses were away)

The wolves have played the 19th hardest schedule (8th hardest schedule until the last suns game, so small sample size still effects it a lot) Trail Blazers have had the 3rd easiest schedule. The wolves are dead in the middle on the west easiest schedule coming in 9th place.

The wolves have also had the most flights after games this season.

Take them as you want just wanted to post them out there

Canuck, You have to go to the "Play by Play" section in b-ball reference. There you will see the On court rating and Net On/Off rating that is similar to the others. The b-ball reference Ortg and Drtg is a totally different thing than the equivalent terms on the other stats sites. They factor in box score stats versus simply calculating how the team performs on a per 100 possession basis like the others do. That's why KAT does so well and Wiggins not so much. It's pretty confusing.

Good stuff Geek. Those early close wins for us against OKC and others could be very important as the season drags on. Right now that 8th seed is trending toward a .500 or less record being able to snag it, similar to last year. May be we will finally be lucky enough to squeak into the playoffs.

Hopefully, some other things I saw yesterday, over the last 10 years through 20 games on average 14 of the 16 who are currently in the playoffs make the playoffs.

Also the cleaning the glass guy did win projections based on pt difference and the wolves came in at 39 wins. (My counter to that is the wolves in Klove had the best pt difference all time to not make the playoffs).

I think we will make the playoffs easily as long as wiggins and Butler don't miss significant time. And that is a big thing. Don't have the wing depth to survive.

The Wolves are more of a closer now then they ever have been, likely since KG. Their point differential is a bit misleading as they half assed a few games skewing the stats. The Heat game and the two games Butler missed.

Health will be the primary principle as to where the Wolves finish. I've thought the 3-5 seed prior to the season. I still think that is likely where they will be.

Got it, thanks. Didn't know that information before. Most people just used the given rtg and subtracted to show how much a detriment Wiggins was to the wolves. And since so many considered it to be true, I just went with it.

How good are the Warriors at moving the ball? They rank #1 in assists with 709. The Magic are second with 552 and the Blazers are last with 399. That means there is a bigger difference between #1 and #2 than there is between #2 and #30!

The Wolves continue to stay out of the cellar in opponent eFG%...edging out the Kings .547 to .552.
