Trade with Toronto
20 and Vasquez for 31 and 36
Toronto clears cap space
MN gets backup PG and moves into first round. I'd hope for Rondae Hollis Jefferson, as I think he'd round out our wing rotation perfectly.
Rubio Vasquez
Wiggins LaVine
Shabazz RHJ
Dieng Bennett Payne
Towns/Okafor Garnett Pek

For coach I would go after Becky Hammon.

At 1 I take Towns.

l trade Budinger for a top 60 protected pick.

I trade Bennett, Dieng, and Bjelica for Faried.

I sign Lou Williams.

Boom!

Rubio/Lou/2nd rounder
Wiggins/Martin
Bazz/LaVine
Faried/Garnett/Payne
Towns/Pek

I think Olynyk can be a solid starter.

His 3 point shooting fits but if we got him I can't wait for people to complain about his below average rebounding. Lol I haven't seen him play much but I feel like people have a fair amount of people have overrated Olynyk in general.

Would anyone take a flyer on Waiters next year? Martin and a second for Waiters and possibly one of their younger guys like a PJ3 or Roberson. I'm not a huge fan of Waiters but he would give us another ball handler who can score. If he doesn't cut it you just don't extend him the QO and let him hit free agency. Just a thought on a medium risk with a potential high reward type of move. Maybe we could flip him to Philly for one of their billion future first round picks if he is a bad personality fit on the team thus turning Martin and a second into a first in theory which I would take right now if we could.

Its worth looking at any option to bring in talent but I am against this one. I have a hard time wanting to give up anything for a guy that can't shoot and doesn't really get to the line much and is an undersized SG. He is 24 now and hasn't done enough for me to be excited about his potential. He seems like a guy that's only good if he is a high usage rate guy and that only happens on a really bad team. Reminds me of OJ Mayo except he is a much better shooter (and actually had a couple really nice seasons) and he is a bench guy. Pass

I think the ship has passed on Waiters being a legit NBA player.

The attitude was always there. Now, the stats look like he's barely playable, too.

I wonder if Steve Nash would be any good as a coach. Maybe not head coach but an assistant to help Rubio, LaVine, Wiggins, and Ab.

I don't see Nash being "all in" like a lot of assistants seem to be. I'd prefer a nerdy all-basketball-encompassing guy over some guy who'd prefer to be traveling, making movies and reading books and nonsense like that.
