If you aren't willing to wait for Wiggins just because you're pissed about the last 10 years then leave and come back in another year or two. Posting about needing results now on a team this young because we've been bad for the last decade when most of them weren't even on the team or played a significant role is wasting everyone's time. You aren't getting your results this year and probably next year either so quit your complaining because it's not going to get fixed by a bunch of young 20 something's and teenagers right now. The T Wolves didn't force you to be a fan. You have 29 other options out there. You don't trade away a top 10 player in the league for 2 guys under 21 and get better immediately. You don't usually get better even a year or two after that and in some cases like Utah and Orlando, it hasn't panned out at all for playoff appearances so far. If you can't handle that truth then leave because it is very annoying to keep hearing about how you are owed results instantly because you put up with the last 10 years. Trying to appease fans like that is why we have Pek, Martin and Bud (and formerly Brewer) on the team on bad deals that we can't trade away who also don't fit on this team anymore. It's is better to build it right than to try to appease fans because it will last longer.

Who is this addressed to...?
It doesn't seem to fit (m)any on this forum.

"That's why we don't care right now how he plays."
This is either a lie or completely ridiculous. How could you not care how a highly-touted first overall pick played? Don't tell me because it may or may not be indicative of his future play. If that was the case, then why even pay attention to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the next three years. That's when you're expecting star play anyways, right? As Chris Carter would say: "C'mon man."

Does this even fit in this thread? Not sure how or why you typed this one out.
Think it comes down to some of us are critical of how Wiggins has performed to this point. And in my case, I have doubts that he'll ever reach his full potential. I also think had Rubio stayed healthy, this season would be different right now, but that's a meaningless thought considering he didn't. Oh well.
Also, Brewer was easily traded. There was a market for him. Martin is one of the best values in the league for what he can produce at the price he costs. AND HE'S A SHOOTER. For some reason, those that say Martin's going to be tough to trade seem to forget how important floor spacing is in the NBA. When/if Flip decides to trade him, there will be someone (probably multiple suitors) that comes calling. Pekovic's deal is only bad because he might have chronic ankle issues. When healthy, he's well worth his deal. We might just have to eat that one, though. Shit happens.

I was referring to the ideal of this line that the T Wolves owe the fans success:
"And since the franchise kept an apathetic fanbase at bay with yet another The Promise of Hope campaign led by Andrew Wiggins, it's good to check in on that progress from time to time."
The T Wolves owe the fans the effort to try to succeed which getting Wiggins falls under. They don't owe the fans anything more because you choose to be a fan. You aren't forced to be one. They aren't a government service you have to pay for. You can come and leave at any time so if you don't like what they are doing now you can leave until they start doing something you can get on board with.
As to the not caring about how he plays, I have yet to read a poor box score of Wiggins and care enough to let it negatively affect my view of him. I understand he is a 19 year old rookie who is going to struggle at times so I really don't care about any of his bad performances. I should have clarified that.

Wait. So now we can't rip decisions from the Wolves front office either?
Yikes.

If you want to rip something be my guest. Just have a reason behind it greater than just to spin your wheels. That's the difference between trolling and constructive criticism. If you want to rip the organization or Glenn do it for a better reason than because he/they owe something to you for being a fan. This board has great substance 90% of the time and it'd be nice to keep it that way to avoid the black hole threads like this one which started as a spinning of the wheels thread.

Here's a Lil time line based on fans opinions.
Half way thru last season, Love was awesome, top five player. Anthony Davis has nothing on this guy . Rubio is amazing . Shabazz is a turd.
Summer trade happens. Love sucks, never was a leader terrible defender. Good riddance . Rubio still amazing, Shabazz is still a turd. Cant wait to see Wiggins in white n blue!! Hopefully he can be Paul George!!.
4 games into the season, Ricky the second coming of JC. Shabazz is still a turd.
10 games in, Wiggins is dripping wet with potential . Rubio out again but still the man .
Twenty games in, Wiggins is garbage CUZ he's not LeBron screw Paul George.. The Wolves would be borderline .500 with Ricky and Kevin Martin. And Shabazz still gets very Lil love . Cuz all he does is score and rebound.
Aaaand, some how this season would be going differently minus Love plus a guy most are now hating on. If only Ricky was playing. And now Ricky will get another whole year of benefit of the doubt becuz of this injury. Yet no other player receives this much patience. Not even close.
Hard to hate on Love for his lack of loyalty when fans seem to pick and choose who their loyal to.

Pork, why are you always bitching about fan support for Rubio? Nobody's calling him elite yet you're acting like he doesn't produce greatly in certain areas of his game. It's getting old buddy.

Becuz of threads like this. Why does Rubio get so much leash 4 years in, but guys like Shabazz and Wiggins get the kennel so easily . If someone would actually give me an answer I'd maybe shutup about it .
and if u guys didn't think Rubio was elite, you wouldnt be sitting there thinkin he's the difference between .500 and where this team currently sits.
