I've always liked Randle. I haven't seen him play this year but it seems like every time I see a Lakers box score Larry Nance Jr looks like he was effective. I also saw he put David West on the bottom of a poster.

Gotta love the NBA.

GSW looked all-world vs. OKC. And barely showed up vs. the Lakers. You could tell when their first several shots were well short that they didn't "have it."

Maybe NBA players need to be paid more to show up back-to-back nights two weeks into the season?

Wow, the Nuggets just dropped 77 on the Celtics @TD Garden in the first half! And only four of their made shots were 3's!

I have to give credit to the Laker crowd. They know the game and give their team so much energy. They're going nuts for their kids and the baby Lakers are going to get 3 in a row.

The more I see the talent on these other Western Conference teams, the less confident I am about our own. The thing about the Lakers is that they actually have a really nice blend of young up-and-comers and vets.

And then there is Phoenix. They aren't very good, but I would argue that Devin Booker belongs in the same conversation as LaVine and Wiggins in terms of his talent.

By the way, the West took all of the West vs. East games yesterday. Bummer.

Paging Abe...

Per Marc Stein

NBA coaching sources say the Knicks have put assistant Kurt Rambis in charge of the team's defense, New York's prime area of concern at 2-4.

The Knicks began the season without specific areas of emphasis for their assistants but have asked Rambis to focus on D given the early woes
