Hicks, I am with you. I like him, but he is not breaking out at all to show he will earn that contract. I would rather throw money at some other RFA

Yeah I want to change my vote in the "who do you want?" thread.

But I wouldn't be shocked if Blazers would beat Warriors without Curry in seven game series.

Yeah there are some interesting parallels. Henderson off the bench brings some of what Iggy does but isn't as good but that's no knock against Henderson. I'll say this Aminu is outplaying Barnes (Aminu still has a bigger role than Barnes but still) and the gap between these players certainly isn't going to be as big as the contracts they have after someone pays Barnes this summer.

The bottom line for me is that Blazers are talented and more legit than they probably get credit for although obviously they have had some good fortune I the playoffs. It's really not that shocking to me that a hot shooting Blazers team got a win over the Curry-less Warriors in their home building.

What is this season's playoffs going to do for Barnes this summer?

He was considered a borderline max guy for what he could be with a bigger role... potentially. Well, his team is without its best player and he hasn't exactly stepped up in the absence. Is he basically just a younger version of Marvin Williams? Not that it's necessarily a bad thing... just something that's not worth $20+M.

9.0 ppg
5.3 reb
1.3 ast
35.1% fg

I think whoever pays Barnes a max contract or near max contract will live to regret it.

That might be the rub though...

... so many teams have the thinking of "free money" right now and reaching the floor might be more difficult than surpassing the cap for a lot of them.

Yup, Harrison Barnes has done very little to help himself this playoff season.

I don't mind overpaying a little bit for the right fit. This team needs shooters and defenders and Barnes certainly would help us a bit in both departments. But he's not THAT good and he has proven that he is incapable of expanding his game. May be his price comes down (?).

Meanwhile, Aminu in Portland suddenly decided he can hit 3's this season and has proven to be somewhat of an X-factor for Portland....He is yet another player that grew into a competent 3-point threat after multiple years of mediocrity from beyond the arc.

Rooting for the Spurs...voted for the Cavs because they are a tough matchup for the Warriors and Spurs

What a terrific series this Heat/Raptors series has been...4th consecutive close game. Gotta admit I'm cheering for Toronto to close them out. I want our 2016-7 starting SF well rested when training camp starts in October!

I think I'd rather have Deng start at PF than have him start at SF, essentially pushing LaVine to a role off the bench. I could be in the minority there, though.

Yeah, your guy Deng (along with others) have completely shut down DeRozan. He's been miserable.

How well set-up is Cleveland though!? They are cooling their jets for a nice long break while Toronto and Miami beat the crap out of each other in a bunch of close games.

We have some common ground there Cam. I want to see Zach start from day 1 next year. But I'm not a big advocate of adding Deng in the first place. Maybe if we were a little closer to being a contender. I'd like to find someone younger to give big minutes to.
