Hicks, I am with you. I like him, but he is not breaking out at all to show he will earn that contract. I would rather throw money at some other RFA

They have starting back court with amazing shooting ability, pair of big but still mobile forwards and center with nice rebounding and passing ability. But I wouldn't be shocked if Blazers would beat Warriors without Curry in seven game series.
Yeah there are some interesting parallels. Henderson off the bench brings some of what Iggy does but isn't as good but that's no knock against Henderson. I'll say this Aminu is outplaying Barnes (Aminu still has a bigger role than Barnes but still) and the gap between these players certainly isn't going to be as big as the contracts they have after someone pays Barnes this summer.
The bottom line for me is that Blazers are talented and more legit than they probably get credit for although obviously they have had some good fortune I the playoffs. It's really not that shocking to me that a hot shooting Blazers team got a win over the Curry-less Warriors in their home building.
What is this season's playoffs going to do for Barnes this summer?
He was considered a borderline max guy for what he could be with a bigger role... potentially. Well, his team is without its best player and he hasn't exactly stepped up in the absence. Is he basically just a younger version of Marvin Williams? Not that it's necessarily a bad thing... just something that's not worth $20+M.

I think whoever pays Barnes a max contract or near max contract will live to regret it.

I think I'd rather have Deng start at PF than have him start at SF, essentially pushing LaVine to a role off the bench. I could be in the minority there, though.
