Defenses tighten up to get stops in the 4th. The rest of the game there's always more time for them to makeup for missed assignments, mistakes, etc, but the 4th is the time to leave it all on the court. Maybe you can explain why our offense 2 years ago could put up 30 in the first quarter easily, but struggled to hit double digits in the 4th consistently. By your logic we should have easily been able to put up 30 points in the 4th because it's just the same as the other quarters. If Ricky is the guy with the ball in the 4th the other team is just going to play off him and shut down his passing lanes like they did 2 years ago when we struggled. The 4th just isn't played the same as the other 3 quarters when games are close.

Call me old fashioned, but I want to see what this team looks like with Rubio running the show, and to see how Rubio's game might have developed, before casting him aside...

Well I don't know if offenses score more or less in the 4th, I'll have to take your word on that, but I don't want Lavine or Wiggins running point forward with Rubio standing in the corner.
