I like him in he second round too. We should be able to find at least 1 player that sticks to the roster in the second round. (unless we take back a bunch of contracts with Love trade)

Maybe there has been some discussion about him on the various draft threads, but I don't recall seeing it. My first choice with one of our second round picks is Jabari Brown. He's a terrific scorer (19.9 PPG) and shooter (63% true shooting percentage). A poor defender and only average ballhandler, but that's why a scorer like this is available in round two. Just what the Wolves need for an offensive spark off the bench.

I agree with the writer here that Exum is by no means a sure thing. He doesn't look under control at all with his body, but certainly looks like an athelete. The kid should have moved to the States in High School is really all I can say about that. He form is just strange.

I've been on the Jabari Brown train too. Had him 5th overall on my position big board that I posted a while back. Leading scorer last year in the SEC, I believe. Had a big game against Kentucky. Plays average defense, in my opinion. Good look, LST.

Any thoughts on why he is projected to go so low, cam? He doesn't show up at all in the 2-round nbadraft.net mock, and is a late second rounder in others. I get that he doesn't have prototypical NBA size and struggles a little on defense, but most teams need a bench shooter like him, and he seems like the kind of guy that could be an excellent role player. We sure could have used someone like him last year.

Any thoughts on drafting Minnesota's own Alec Brown in the second round, he is a 7'1 Center who shoots threes at good clip, and IMO mobile enough to play a little PF in the NBA, I would love to take a flyer on him can never have enough shooters.

I don't want to spend our highest pick on a PF. Seems like the easiest position to fill in the NBA, and PF's don't closeout games. That is our single biggest dysfunction on this team. Our best player has always been our PF. Payne would be someone we can pickup later, and would likely work just fine.
