I'm in the same camp as Q and World on Shabazz. I didn't like the pick last summer, but he has definitely earned a place I the rotation ahead of Budinger and Luc. And I agree with Cam that our main problem continues to be our horrible hence. Yet, I don't think any reallocation of playing time among our bench players would materially change this team's fate this season. What would have altered the Wolves fate? How about acquiring the guy who scored 15 for the Raptors off their bench tonight -- Steve Novak? That's one of the things the Raptors did last summer. Or how about acquiring Gerald Green last summer? That's one of the things the Suns did. Or how about acquiring Courtney Lee instead of Luc before this season's trade deadline? Memphis did and Lee has been their starting SG, helping propel them to within striking distance of a playoff slot.
So I hope we see a lot more of Shabazz and Dieng the rest of the way this season. But the dye on the Wolves' mediocrity this season was cast last summer and this past February by the actions of a mediocre front office.
