Well, they had to do it. It obviously didn't affect the outcome of the game. Now he will mostly sit on the bench until the G-League starts up in a couple of weeks.

Thats a wrap. Lakers deserved to win. We looked clunky and uninspired. I'm not too concerned. Will take a few games for this team to even starting clicking.

For all the hand-wringing over NAW (myself included), he had a hell of a game off the bench! And for all the fawning over DDV (myself included), he wasn't so good off the bench!

Lots of things to work on, especially on the defensive end. And ANT has got to realize he must do better at getting teammates good shots.

Much like the start of last year, it’s a work in progress.

Not sure what to think about Finch's rotations tonight. I mean, this was like a playoff rotation with basically three main guys off the bench and Ingles used for only a few minutes in the first half. No Minott, Dillingham, or Garza.

My theory is that he's looking to establish a good base by getting the vets in rhythm early, then eventually will loosen things up. Sort of counterintuitive in that I figured he'd go 10 or 11 deep to start the season.

Yeah we clearly had them on depth. If youre going to play like that there was no reason Minott and Dillingham couldnt have gotten some run.

Finch doesn't believe in the spark plug off the bench that only plays a handful of minutes but gives the kick in the ass the team needs from an energy standpoint.

but as I told you, he runs a tight rotation, so I don't see him budging on that.

Losing Kat will be a bigger blow than what we anticipated.

We basically swap out Towns and Slow mo for Randle ang Ingles. That is a clear step down.

We just didn't play engaged basketball, especially in the first half. Then you get down like that, you gotta play really good basketball consistently to come all the way back. We just didn't play with the effort or urgency to deserve to win that game. The offensive hiccups are expected, but the failure to defend with pride, crash the glass early, or just stay locked in on the little things offensively that led to turnovers, those things just can't happen.
