So we continue to be winless against teams with better than a .500 record.

Ant misses two free throws with game on line. Finch just flat out sucks. Right now Wolves are in 7th which is play-in territory and they have piled up wins against losing teams. And Wolves have yet to hit the tough part of the schedule. Fire Finch!

Maybe they were up 6, but the only way you lose that game is how they did. Finch should call his last TO, draw up a good in bound play, hit a FT or two with Mike and ice the game, go up 7 or 8 with 30 seconds and call it a day.

I haven't seen such an epic blunder by a coach and team in a long time.

But Randle and Ant can't go 1 for 4 on free throws in crunch time like that. The game is done if they just hit 3 of 4. Plus they were in the middle of the TOs and dumb final shot, so I put this game on our two main stars. Finch puts a ton of trust in his players and they failed in closing the game out.

An unacceptable loss tonight. We now have the same record as the Suns. That’s also unacceptable. We have a roster that includes Ant, Randle, Jaden and Gobert. The Suns have Booker, Brooks and Gillespie. Ant had a great scoring game but he had 5 turnovers. Mike Conley had 3 points and 1 assist in 14 minutes. He was -6. Why not give those 14 minutes to Rob Dillingham? We had Rudy, Julius and Naz on the floor for a combined 96 minutes yet we were out-rebounded 45 to 37.

Do we shake up the roster or make a coaching change? I don’t think we’re quite there yet, but we’re getting closer to the point where we’ll have to do one or the other. If this team isn’t playing at least equal to the sum of its parts by January, then I think a coaching change is in order. Or maybe we just trade Rudy now and let the Rocco era begin. :)
