You can't put the 2nd one on him. A LB on a speedy WR? Coverage was a mess on that play.

I don't know how much to put on Barr, but he is the one with the green dot on his helmet and our back 4 frequently don't look like they know what coverage they are in. That dot makes you the leader of the defense and it's on you that everyone at least knows they're responsibilities pre-snap.

Talk about Barr...does Spielman look dumb for getting an extension done for Kendricks?

I think we have a bunch of guys trying to do too much at this point. My issue with Barr is he is not great at anything. He is supposed to be this great rushing LB, but isn't. He is supposed to be good in coverage and isn't. I think both guys are replaceable so I was not in favor of big contracts at LB.

Can someone please explain to me how we keep having a LB covering a receiver and no safety to be found anywhere? Stop helping the corners on the outside and leaving the middle of the field wide open. Just getting killed over the middle.

I have no clue. It is time to break out the 3 safety defense and bench Barr for the rest of the night.

Hunter and Hughes look like great young players for us.

It's baffling that Iloka still hasn't been involved in the defense.

At the end of the day if Barr and Kendricks are gonna get blocked out of 80% of the running plays and bite on all the play action plays then they have no value out there right now. They just look slow and everyone is running circles around them. If they can't make plays we might as well go small and at least have speed on the field.

Cousins lack of presence in the pocket is troubling. How do you not feel that edge rusher and then step up in the pocket after he scrapes by you?

It doesn't look great right now, but I'll at least take the effort they showed tonight over the disaster on Sunday. LA is a really good team and we had a chance to tie it up. Lot of red flags though.

Teams making that west coast trip are now like 1-8 on Thursday night games.

Cousins was fantastic pretty much the whole night and we had a chance to go down and tie the game. I agree there is something to be said for this team showing it has some fight.

I think the whole defense seems in some sort of flux. Guys aren't where they are supposed to be at every level. It's completely bizarre. The good news was they did seem to show up the 2nd half holding the Rams to 10 points. There is no way that Zimmer and the talent on this defense suck like this the whole year right? Weird.

I need to watch something uplifting though now. That was a fun game but so frustrating to watch. I still like defense.
