Diggs update

The DL last year in general was a mess. We should be greatly improved even if Hunter doesn't play a down. I like the idea of Atkins as a rotation guy. If he could play 50-60% of the snaps that would certainly help keep our top guys fresh.

Everson is still out there, but I think he might have burned too many bridges here. I liked him as a guy you don't play much until December. His last few years here he tailed off considerably starting in November.

I wonder about Griffin's mental health. I also honestly don't know if any teams are willing to offer him anything more than the vet min. Besides there are other vet pass rushers available the last I knew that are probably more enticing so I less Griffin is good to go and willing to take a cheap 1 year deal...teams are gonna wait it out. The Vikings have like 35 guys vying for DE spots so at this point I don't think Griffin is a guy they are considering. I think they like their 2 rookies quite a bit.

I get that feeling too. I think they like DJ Wonnum a lot too.

Olivier Vernon, Geno Atkins, and Larry Fitzgerald would be great additions.

The Hunter situation will be interesting. I have a hard time giving a guy a big new contract coming off a season where he didn't play a game.

Patrick Peterson has a YouTube show with Derrick McFadden. I've watched parts of some of the shows and the most recent one I think Peterson basically said something that basically made it sound like it was the Cardinals or retire for Fitz. He sounded VERY sure about it.

Hunter...I haven't kept up but I'm not really sure whether he is all that upset or not. Here is the ingesting thing about his contract. After this season there is only 7 million in guaranteed money. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to at least up that number. The Vikings have that as a bit of a negotiating chip. The guy just turned 26 if he is healthy it would make sense to give him a new deal with some more guaranteed money. Honestly I trust the Vikings in whatever they decide to do. They usually take care of their own and if they move on there is usually a good reason.

Vikings get Breeland for 1 year 4 million. Seems like a pretty solid move.

It's almost like they traded Hughes for Breeland. Seems like a good deal especially since they even moved up a few picks near the end of the draft.

I didn't think of that but you are right. Great depth at CB. I am a little worried about depth at LB/S going into the year. The DT/DE position seems to have a lot of young development options they must like.
