I missed the game and watched the highlights without knowing the score. So I can't tell if the refs were garbage or not, aside from reading the comment throughout the thread.

On the Maxey free throws at the end of the 1st OT where Drummond taps in the rebound. Embiid doesn't even go for the rebound. He literally just pushes off Reid with both his hands, it's like he was setting a pick for Andre to go after it.

This has to be one of the most satisfying wins in a long time as a wolves fan.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 23-20 (0-1 in 2019-20, 13-11 in 2020-21, 10-8 in 2021-22) in the 43 games that Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell have played together.

My favorite part about the officiating -- despite the free throw disparity and very obvious missed/bad calls vs. the Wolves -- Rivers, 76ers players and fans melting down over any questionable call the hometown team didn't get.

Entitlement is a powerful thing.

Just an outstanding win! The only thing better than a win in Philly with our three best rebounders fouling out was my bingo card- anybody else have both 1) Prince scoring the winning basket in double OT, and 2) Bolmaro playing more than 16 minutes? I may go to Vegas tonight.

-Best game ever for DLo? Terrific shooting in the 4th and OT, and some nifty passes throughout the game.
-But Vando has to get at least half a game ball. After getting only 1 offensive rebound against Charlotte, he was aggressive all night with 4 (and 14 total).
-How many F bombs did Finch/Beverley drop in the locker room after the charlotte debacle. Leadership. Defense was night and day better last night despite being on the back half of a BTB.
-Bolmaro was very good on defense against Maxey...his length is such an asset on D. Still awkward running the offense and passes up open shots, but he didn't hurt us. Kneejerk reaction- give him JMac's minutes.
-We got away with sloppiness last night, but we need to protect the ball better. I'm looking at you Naz, DLo and Ant.

That's an important stat with a sample size large enough to matter. Their winning percentage will increase as they long more consistent minutes together and accumulate more games with Anthony Edwards.

Yeah, seems like our offense still isn't where it should be given the personnel on our roster.

The counter to that, Q, is that we have several players who seem to be able to score 1 on 1. I would put KAT, Ant, DLo and Naz all in the upper quartile of the league in terms of being able to score outside of offensive flow when they are on. My God, just look at DLo last night. But the offensive talent level on this team is also a curse...if you think you can score without help, you're more likely to not move the ball. Contrast that with a team like Philly...Danny Green and Seth Curry are not going to create offense on their own. They know they need to get to the corners and rely on ball movement to get their open looks.

The solution is obvious and Finch keeps harping on it. Move the frickin ball, and it will only enhance the offensive capability of our Big Three. In the decisive moments late last night, our offense pretty much consisted of DLo or Ant bringing the ball down the court looking for their shot. It worked last night, but we all know it's not a prescription for becoming a solid playoff team.

Great point, FNG. Hopefully, Finch can get infuse more ball-movement into our offense. Ant, DLO and KAT are all good passers. KAT has to stop trying to make the flashy pass. That's getting old and he should know better by now. DLO's fingers are still a big stickier than I'd like to see.

Agreed. Another area that is immensely frustrating is how many 3's we attempt from the hardest parts of the floor (above the break but not straight on). How often is Jaden McDaniels or Prince launching a 24-footer versus a 22-footer from the corner? We are 28th in the league in percentage of 3-point attempts from the corners. That should be fixable. You want to know why Andrew Wiggins is shooting a career high from 3? Because he takes 36% of his 3's from the corner, where he has always shown good accuracy.

That frustrates me too, Q, and the contrast between us and the 76ers in this area (even though we beat them last night) was on display last night...Green and Curry live in the corners, and they make the shots. I live Finch and give him a lot of credit for our defensive intensity last night, but does he get some of the blame for our low percentage of corner threes compared to other teams? He needs to preach it as well as hold players accountable.

Then again, my eye test may not be supported by stats. Does anyone have our percentage of corner threes compared to other teams?
