Arghh.
I'm glad none of the folks on this board coach the team.
KAT's dauber was way down. ANT got in his grill X2 in the second quarter (in a smiling "step up" kind of way).
The only way this team wins is as a team. GS is a much better team than Minnesota that does everything pretty well. They shot horribly last night other than Wiggins and still won pretty handily.
Their spacing is outstanding at all times. They don't commit many stupid turnovers. They make the easy pass fast. They defer to the hot hand and know how to run sets that put the third pass into the hot hand.
Every player in the NBA is capable of a great night and a bad night and the only thing they can control is effort.
BEV and BEAS are not off to great starts and Jaden just isn't ready for prime time.
Our spacing sucks again and I'm not sure ISO ANT is something we can win with.

KAT has the victim's mentality and it's killing him. I really don't think he gets the shaft from the officials until he starts to flail and act and shows up the officials. What official should reward him when he acts that way? Can't see him turning it around in Minnesota. He has to be a #2 on a different team. I could see him doing very well if given that opportunity.

From John K:
".......it is safe to say now, and this will seem like a late declaration for Warriors fans out there, that the Wolves definitely lost the Wiggins for Russell trade."
Game - Set - Match from one of Wig's biggest critics.

Sure. Towns would be a wonderful #2.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves had him masquerading as a #1 with guys like Wiggins or Russell as #2.
Everybody was forced to punch above their weight.

Still dont think it is a franchise killer at all. Once again Dlo in no way has been a difference maker. Wiggins would not be a difference maker as a wolf (not sure he is really one with the Warriors either). Sucks we lost the asset of the #7 pick (Even though Kumminga has yet to play).
Obviously the biggest mistake was giving Wiggins the max, even though he was going to get it no doubt. Still think it is one of the funniest threads in hindsight that people thought Wiggins 100% deserved that max over Embiid at the time. Obvious hindsight. I hope the Wolves don't attach a pick to offloading Dlo.
At the end of the day. That Wiggins trade did not kill the franchise and the Wolves would be in a very similar spot they are now if that trade did not happen. It sucks but I still understand the logic to the trade even though it did not work out.

Not as bad as those who thought Jabari Parker should have won ROY over him!
Ok... maybe not. But, it brings up my point. In those same threads, the Wolves and Bucks were considered peers with many liking the local team's future more. Even after punting on the Jabari Parker pick... the Bucks have built a champion and Wolves fans are discussing yet another re-re-rebuild.

Yep, the Wolves really made a mistake trading Andrew Wiggins. Minnesota was 166-276 (.376) in 442 games with Wiggins. If they had just been a little more patient... he would have led Minnesota to the promised land. I just know it.

No reason to get all huffy.
I think everybody agreed that Wiggins needed to be traded and that he was arguably the most overmatched #2 in recent history.
Some people, however, might wonder if the team traded him for the wrong guy.
[Note: Everybody has different takes on that one. Personally, I was so down on Wiggins I advocated for trading him for the ghost of Nicolas Batum.]

Maybe the truth is Wiggins was traded for about the only guy that they could have gotten, John Wall notwithstanding.

Might be true.
And that's why I thought Batum was in play. He was pitiful in Charlotte. The rub was that his contract ended earlier... basically sunk costs for a shorter period.
