The starting centers in the Finals
Andrew Bogut #1 overall pick
Timofey Mosgov undrafted
Starting guards:
Steph Curry
Kyrie Irving
Preaching to the choir here. Gather star potential on the perimeter and piece in defensive specialists down low.
I'm still in on Towns but as you know bigs scare me with injury history. It's very tough to pass up a big #1 when we have none for the future. Having said that...
Starting PFs in the Finals
Tristan Thimpson #4 overall pick
Draymond Green #35 overall
Guys would would have thought would be the starting PFs on these final teams if you were from 3 years ago looking at a roster.
Kevin Love #5 overall
David Lee #30 overall
Of course I am cherry picking here but it's fun and interesting to look at.

Re: The Case for Russell
Sorry to be Scrooge, but I have serious doubts about whether Russell's game will translate well to the NBA. I think he can be defended in the NBA. He doesn't finish well. Can't shoot with his right hand. He doesn't have great athleticism or strength. He shot poorly when he faced the better teams. He hasn't been a good defender. To me, his best skills are his three point shooting and passing but he's kind of a tweener. I know its popular to slam Ricky, but I think our offense would run better thru Ricky if he's healthy and if not, I think we can play LaVine or sign a good point guard (with the ton of cap space we'll have in another season) that will be as good a distributor as Russell. Good point guards are much more plentiful than good bigs. Given that he's likely a top 4 pick, I don't see how we'd obtain him without trading our top pick and I think either Towns or Okafor will be better NBA players and fit the team's needs more.
Re: The Case for Russell
Just so people don't think I am off my rocker with this case for Russell the case against him is the Spurs with Duncan and Robinson #1 overall picks and for example the previous 2 finals they started Parker in the late 20's pick and Danny Green #46 overall but was cut from a couple teams.

I've watched several videos on Russell (good and bad), but he's got some serious flaws that you should all take a look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5BtA2JdOBY

I think Cam has a good recipe. I hope it's something good like Chocholate Chip cookies that he can send me in the mil so I can let you all know if the recipe is any good or not. That's the only real way to find out.

He shot 62% at the rim this year, but he doesn't finish well?

Yeah, my three issues with Russell are simply this:
1. No right hand.
2. Questionable defender. Not strong enough to really defend SGs. Not quick enough to stay with above average guards.
3. Doesn't draw fouls like you'd want a top scorer to.

The scouting reports and videos I have watched say he's not a great finisher. Haven't seen that stat, but I ask you 62% against who? A parade of cupcakes. Ohio State had a very soft schedule and he never shot better than 50% against any ranked team. Against good teams, he was stuffed and defended when he tried to take it to the hole. Given that he doesn't have great athleticism or strength , can't shoot to his right and shot poorly against good teams, I don't see him as a good finisher in the NBA.
