I like Stauskus, but I would not trade both Martin and our #13 to get him. We'd be trading a one way offensive player for a potential one-way offensive player. Granted, Stauskus is younger and a more versatile offensive player than Martin (ball-handling and passing), but he's not much better (if at all) than Martin. And even though I think Stauskus will be a very good NBA shooter, he has yet to prove it at the NBA level. Since I still think we can get a very good player at #13, I wouldn't give up that pick AND Martin just to get Stauskus and I doubt Flip would either.

What do you guys think of Aaron Gordon? He's a defensive stud with a nice wingspan, very athletic and needs work on his offensive game. Similar comments were made about Kawhi Leonard. Not saying he'll be Kawhi, but he's a player with nice upside and I'm intrigued.

He merely looks the part. Could you really see him night in and night out stopping the best of what may be the deepest position in the league?

I think he has as good a chance as anybody in the draft of being that guy. This past year, he led college basketball in defensive win shares. Last year MCW and Dieng were in the top 4 in defensive win shares. The year before the leaders in def. win shares were Anthony Davis, Dieng and then Draymond Green. And the year before that it was Kenneth Faried and Kawhi Leonard. Not bad company and he's only 18.

Gordon shot 42% from the FT line. Let me start there as that is such a huge issue. Doesn't have any offense other than being athletic. I like the kid. He's smart, well-mannered, plays within himself and gives it all on defense. Potentially an elite NBA defender. His offense looks like it'll be nonexistent, though. AK47, Shawn Marion type ceiling. Nothing to scoff at, but not a franchise player.

I am with you. I honestly am not sure I take him at 13. I hope he goes before us.

The defensive win shares. Stats are interesting and is even more evidence of his ability on the defensive end. As for his FT% its brutal butt he did connect on a worthwhile percentage of his 3 pointers so there may be some hope. For his jumpshot. I haven't seenhim play but I. Also think closing the door on his offense when he was just a freshman seems a little too quick to judge him. If he is there at #13 its not like. You are picking top 10 or something. On the flip side who else is there? How would he fit into the team? Is he just a PF or is he a SF? To me I like him but I really wonder about the fit here I'd say the same thing about Kyle Anderson who I like because of his various skills and size but I wonder if he is a fit because of his deficianties. Every player has weaknesses though. I could see Gordon as a guy that gets nitpicks as. A freshman because he didn't blow up his rookie year but if he went back for another season he might be a no-brainer top 5 pick. Ultimately I think we are hoping for a wing player preferably a SG at #13. Maybe we can convince the Spurs to take Gordon for a 2 year loan and turn him into Leonard for us. Lol

Gordon's not in the mix til the 6-8 spot. Everybody slotted in that range has some concerns. I like Smart better, if he can fit with Ricky, but he may be gone. I'm not sure if Randle will be there and he's got some concerns too. All, I'm saying is I won't be disappointed if we end up with Gordon if our pick can't get us one of the Big 3 or Smart. His free throw shooting is an obvious concern, but I see no reason he can't substantially improve it given time.

Woj: "Agent: In a surprise, 7-foot Kristaps Porzingis will withdraw from the 2014 NBA Draft"

Dammit.
