Not sure, Cool. Hard to know how Flip feels about Wiggins. I have an educated guess, but I'm not sure.
Lip, wasn't it reported that Wiggins was on top of his draft board?

I do remember seeing the report that Flip had LaVine #7 on his board.

If you agree with my point, then why are you nitpicking that two teams were able to get better after their stars left? Just to throw out that my request was flawed even if you agree with the concept that we wouldn't be better? Sorry I'm not at a computer researching all this stuff so I'm 100% correct all the time. Sorry my opinion on the matter isn't the case 100% of the time. It just happens to be the case more times than not. This is like twitter. If you aren't 100% correct, then why bother posting when half the board is going to jump all over you the first chance they get just to say you're wrong even if they agree with your larger point?

lip, I know what you're saying, but Wiggins is EXACTLY the type of young player that Flip has been trying to target; an athletic, 2-way wing player who is a great fit with Rubio, is unselfish with the ball, and is humble. The only thing that I can't see Flip liking about Wiggins as the centerpiece of a deal would be him being a 19 year old rookie and not an established veteran. But even Flip wouldn't turn down that opportunity.
Let's put it this way...Flip couldn't get the coaches he was looking for this offseason..but fast forward 2-3 years if our current young players continue to improve and Wiggins starts to look like the real deal...a guy like Izzo or Hoiberg would have to take a serious consideration to that type of roster, because it'd be set up for long-term success.
You could be right that Flip might not love Wiggins, but I think if Flip had the #1 pick in the draft he would have taken Wiggins, probably before the Embiid injury.

People are jumping all over you not because you're wrong but because you're acting so aggressively towards anybody who even try's to debate your 'facts'.

Wolfson Tweeted it Wiggins was at the Top of Flip's board. Take that for whatever its worth.

I can understand that if you honestly believe that we are in a similar situation as Denver, but getting Wiggins for Love is not the same situation in my mind as getting Chandler, Gallinari, etc. for Melo. If you don't believe that, then you are just saying I'm wrong for the sake of calling me out when in truth its somewhere in the middle as there are examples on both sides.

Hockey - I have the same suspicion as you about Flip's thinking on Wiggins. But I honestly think Flip would prefer a young veteran like Klay. And at this point he may even prefer keeping Love on a roster with an improved Rubio, an improved Shabazz playing significant minutes, Dieng doing for a full season what he did the last month this past season, upgraded athleticism with a couple talented rookies, and substantially better coaching. Flip may see all those things adding up to enough success, including playoff success, to entice Love to stay long term, especially when combined with the additional max year he can get by staying.
I can tell you that I have a great source who has told me that the thinking I just described regarding keeping Love is, in fact, Flip's thinking. And i wouldn't fault Flip if he went that route.
