The way Reid has been playing and with all the salary cap stuff going on, I think they'll move him at the trade deadline or this offseason. Doubt they get a ton back, but some team will think they can integrate him into their offense.
Despite KAT's implosion tonight, I don't want to trade KAT unless it improves the team. He might have gotten us a star in the past, but not sure he can fetch us one now.
But do you really trust KAT in the playoffs or big games? Seriously, we may be getting close to addition by subtraction territory if you hone in on playoff/crunchtime basketball and not just overall regular season stats. He had 13 turnovers and fouls. I mean, that takes so much stupidity!
Do you trust Randle, Quickley or Barrett?

This is kinda where the team is at now.

Abe's Slightly Later DVR Review:

- Wow. Fun game between the two NBA franchises I root for... although the Wolves are 1.

- Two teams that get after it defensively. That's really odd to say regarding the Timberwolves, but damn, they look legit defensively. Very aggressive and physical. The good thing about that is that if the Wolves get out to a good record, that reputation will help them. There will be games where they foul too often, but good teams get the benefit of the doubt more and more and more. Maybe the Wolves will reach that point.

- So, there will be a lot of talk about Towns. What's there to say? A very good strategy against him is to put a strong, physical guy 8 inches shorter on him. It's nearly an automatic 2 or 3 offensive fouls at this point. For Towns to be in Year 9 and not have figured out that he can't hook defenders on the way to rack... I'm at a loss. It's egregious. It's embarrassing. We're nearing Wiggins territory with Towns. He might figure things out. But I don't think that's happening in Minnesota. He was flat-out awful in this game offensively. He's flailing out there, both figuratively and literally.

- Anthony Edwards is going to take stupid shots. He's going to make mistakes. He's going to even implode at times. But goddamn... that man is a superstar in the making. He competes. And he's committed. And he's really damn good. I was most impressed with three different passes when he could have forced it, but served up teammates (McDaniels) for wide open threes instead. More of that please and we're going to have a lot of fun for the next 3 - 5 years. He's special.

- Jaden McDaniels still has a lot of growth to go offensively, but it was fun to watch him hit big shots in the 2nd half and play tough defense against some really talented guys on the Celtics.

- The Wolves' $80M tandem in the middle nearly cost them the game with their offensive limitations in this one. Gobert shooting 2 - 11 on free throws was bad. Great defense though... so there's that. I really enjoyed seeing him attack Hauser or whoever on the perimeter. Gobert deserves a lot of credit for the team's defensive improvement.

- As a Celtics fan... Tatum and Brown were very Tatum- and Brown-esque. But Al Horford looked old in this one. It'll be interesting to see who they pick up midseason. The starters are so much fun together, but that bench is a bit hit or miss.

I would puke if KAT gets traded to the Knicks. I don't want any of those players and I don't really care much about the Knicks draft picks.

Nice summary Abe.

I found myself slapping my forehead with my hand watching Ant last night during the 4th, but then he goes off on these mini-eruptions where I find myself in awe. Then I reflect on the times I have watched Tatum and Brown...these guys are far from perfect and make plenty of mistakes too, despite being older and more battle-tested.

I think there might be only one star in the league that almost never makes a bad decision and that's Nikola Jokic.

We can see the "second window" guys starting to assert themselves more....Ant, Jaden, Reid. It's funny how much more willing Ant is willing to give up the ball to those guys vs. the "first window" guys. Although Gobert is changing the narrative a bit. He seems a hell of a lot harder to replace than KAT at this point given how he anchors the defense.
