Hasn't McLemore been a big disappointment?

Yeah he has. Way too inconsistent and hasn't shown a lot of growth in 2 years. If you can get him with Casspi sure, but if it's one or the other I'd prefer Casspi as he is still young at 27 and you know you're getting a productive player who will play within the system. Can trail/run to spot up a 3 in transition and be a spot up/spacer 3 guy in the halfcourt.

Yes he has been a disappointment, but he has good potential yet. I would like to see him in the trade down package.

I just watched highlights of both McLemore and Seth Curry from last year. Curry looks legit with his shot and a pretty good handle. He doesn't look that short. I'd take him over Ben any day of the week. Sure that may be a bit of a hot take but damn Curry looked pretty good. Ben was pretty meh and was about as exciting as watching Wayne Ellington was when he was here. I wonder if the Kings are thinking Dunn would work with Ben or Curry as their backcourt of the near future.

Looking at the Kings roster, Darren Collison would be a good target. A good bench PG that can hit the three efficiently.

He's flat-lined for three seasons now. Sure, he can still improve, but it's hard to envision someone busting out after 3 seasons of abject mediocrity. Absent any sort of upward trajectory, it's far more likely he'll be the same player he was last year....and the year before....and the year before.

Question for draft day trades which year salary cap do teams work under? The official end of the NBA fiscal year is right before FA so I'm thinking draft deals have to be within the current cap not the new...everybody got money yo! cap. I tried to find the answer but I wasn't able to find it and I read a lot of Larry Coon's cap FAQ which typically is pretty exhaustive.

I have no interest in Ben Mac at all! As Q noted, he's flat-lined for three seasons. He has no fire in his belly and has shown absolutely no improvement. He has has a big "stay away" sign on his forehead. Seth Curry, Casspi and D Collison would all be nice aquisitions.

The one thing about McLemore that people have to remember is his formative years have involved a new coach and system every season. It's hard enough to become good in one system, let alone good in a new one every year. I definitely think he's worth a flier in any trade with the Kings. A lot of role players figure it out a little later in their careers and while a big number don't make it all, it's not a big cost to take a flier on him. If you can get Collison, McLemore and their pick for our pick I think that'd be a decent deal if we don't really love anyone at 5.

Ok let's say the Kings want to trade up to #5 and they give you some reasonable combination of guys or a guy out of
Collison
Casspi
Curry
Ben Mac
Belineili
Who are you targeting to get at #8?
Me based on what info I have now I go with BBA (best big available)
