From Puckett's pond "They just want to get money," Berrios said in his tweet, which was taken down on Saturday afternoon. "I wish you the best my man! Let's get it!"

How about Mr. Berrios focus on his job his 4+ era the last month isn't helping the team. You can't knock them for making space and getting some extra money for another trade. If they don't trade for anyone then you can rip them. Who knew Mornin and him were so close, seems
Like a sit com type of pairing lol.

Souhan said on a recent podcast that a few years ago Mourneau went on a rant before the trade deadline that they needed help and needed to add some players and the front office needed to do their job before the deadline etc. He said a few years later Morneau said he had some regrets about saying that. He said he was being competitive and wanted to win but it also said it made it look like he and his own teammates weren't good enough to win.

Relief pitching was fine with healthy leads. Now that things are returning to the mean and games are tighter the lack of experience is starting to show

Speaking of some of those relievers:

Magil is going to the Mariners for cash.

Morin went to the Phillies for cash.

I guess I can see a bit where Berrios was coming from with his tweet.

One guy that typically doesn't seem to garner much credit from this front office is Adriannza. He has been a solid find for them but this year he has been really valuable because he is really hitting when he is out there.

Back to Porkchop's point.

Believe it or not, the team through June 15: 3.90.

Since then: 3.95.

The difference has been the offense

The offense was running at a pace that was not sustainable. We will have to learn to win games another way and with the pressure, we are getting from the Indians we will have to do it at a higher clip. Something is about to happen with the recent moves. It will be interesting what it is. This team has a small window since the starting staff is all FA's outside Berrios next season.

Part of the offense struggling is injuries. The other aspect that's hurt the team during that time is defense. They have been booting the ball around at times which doesn't help. Buxton being out is big especially when you are playing a rookie infielder like half time in the outfield.

FWIW Perez has a team option for next season for 7.5 million with a 500k buyout. Will he be worth basically 7 million next year? Idk we have a bunch of games to find out. I think I'd have no problem signing him to be a 4 or 5 starter for 4-5 million so it's possible he could get back in a groove and be worth that contract. It's certainly been a pretty solid signing so far.

I agree with the injuries in offense. We have been battling that a little all season.

Perez is not looking my good. That triple play last night saved him. I would hope we have a young arm take his spot in the rotation.

This division race continues. Each team goes extra innings and seems to waste opportunities to get a win. Cleveland wastes a gem by Bauer and hand blows a save. Twins score a bunch of runs but can't get enough with a couple bases loaded opportunities late in the game. Some of their best relievers give up runs. Both looked like great games to watch. Also heck of a first game for Stashak. Sami crushes 2 balls and now has 16 HRS in 185 ABs

Great game. If we can get a win today I will really feel good about how this team did against Indian and Yankees. Someone else said it that you just never feel out of it with this team.

Result not done yet but it looks like there going to lose. The twins should be very happy with a 2 game lead after this tough stretch. There schedule is about to flip flop with the Indians. After the Indians face the Royals for 4 game set this is there schedule.

Houston
LAA
Texas
@Min 4 gamer
Boston
@NYY

Twins schedule
@MIA
KC
Atlanta
Indians 4 game
@ MIL 2 game
@ Texas

This crucial stretch because there last 40 games
They have 26 games against September call ups of Royals Detroit and Chicago and 6 games left against the Indians.

The Indians only have 19 games left and against the weaker central teams and have to play Tampa's, the Phillies, Washington and LAA.

Point I'm trying to make is the Twins schedule is way easier and if they don't win the division it's because they didn't beat up on bad teams and didn't handle business in H2H against Indians. Therefore not deserving to win the division.
