I would have traded McDaniels' broken hand in for all the techs we thought he'd rack up in the NBA.

Even if everything broke our way (pardon the pun) and we even won in the play in and competed with the Grizzlies again, there's a permanent bad taste that will be left in our mouths after this season.

It will be interesting to see if we get more details. Didn't Rudy have a bad back but still played? I mean...nobody wants to be called a no try bitch. Especially if you are playing through a bad back for the sake of the team.

That said... you generally won't get suspended for calling your teammates names. Throwing punches at teammates? That's probably a different story. I would have to believe they will need to suspend Rudy...probably the end of the Twin Towers experiment too.

Punishment for Rudy is him having to come back. A suspension only helps him and us.

Do we know if it was on the screen and that's why he was frustrated and punched the wall cause it was hurt already?

I don't know about the screen you are mentioning. Do you mean something that led to the blood on JV's sleeve earlier? Jaden kept playing after that and looked just fine. That looked like just a cut. If he'd have broken his hand, he'd have at least been wincing in pain or holding it or something and if you watch the last few minutes he played, he didn't do any of that.

However, with 45 seconds left in the first quarter, after an Ingram 3 point shot, Jaden was on the block and turned to sort of box out Nance face to face instead of backwards, then put his arm into Nance's chest and basically threw Nance to the side and downward and Nance went to the floor and Jaden was called for the foul. It wasn't really a basketball play at all, and he might have been reviewed for a flagrant in some cases (or one of those "non basketball plays" or whatever they call them). But Jaden didn't look to be holding his hand or anything at that point. It was his second foul and Finch subbed him out for NAW and he just walked straight to the hallway without really making eye contact with anyone or saying anything and that's when he punched the wall. Just a bit creepy actually.

Given that he kept playing and looked fine after the blood incident, and given how hard he clearly hit the wall and the fact that you can see him holding his hand in pain right after punching it, I think in it's pretty obvious he broke his hand punching the wall.

But there's also the fact that he basically just threw Nance to the floor for no reason just before it. Two acts of unprompted frustration in a row. And just walking past the bench and ignoring everybody and going to the locker room with 45 seconds left after you drew the foul? What??

Honestly, it's hard not to suspect there's some kind of darkness under the emotionless face that guy wears. He had problems with techs at Washington I heard, and wasn't getting as much playing time from his coach as his talent demanded for some unknown reason. While it doesn't seem like there have been many problems with him for us anyway, at least not that we've seen, his behavior tonight was unsettling. And of course he's really screwed us in the playoffs. Really disappointing.

I don't like Jaden punching a wall, but I get it. Three seasons worth of touch fouls that he doesn't get on offense would drive a lot of people to react. I'm surprised he hasn't exploded before this. Just once Finch should have backed him and gotten a technical or thrown out of a game. Do you think he would get all these fouls if he played for the Lakers? Not even close.

That is what I got from lip reading it. Better to punch a teammate then a wall. You can see Rudy said his "back".

I have had minor back pain that has made me not really able to move, so I understand how it can be debilitating. I don't like that Slo Mo was questioning his toughness. But I do like that Rudy sort of punched him.

As far as Jaden out, that sucks balls.

Fuck what a couple of babies. At least McDaniels has the excuse of being 21 or whatever but so stupid.

Mike Conley says Rudy Gobert already has sent a message in the group chat apologizing for his role in the altercation. Wolves seem like a team ready to move forward.
