And Wow, just looked at Deandre Jordan making 11 million now. I had no idea. So there's the argument from Schwartz for paying him over 12. DeAndre averaged 8 points a game last year.

I'm as big a Pek fan as anyone but the rumor of 15 mil is insane IMO. Heck, maybe I shouldn't have been but I was shocked at 12 mil.

Don't forget JaVale McGee making that much too.

Pek and DWill for LaMarcus Aldridge. Who says no? TWolves or Blazers.

I love it for the Wolves. I am not sure the Blazers do it.

Well it looks like we should pull the offer. Doolittle didn't have Pekovic ranked in the top 17 centers in the league. So I think this offer is a little rich.

We should see movement next week on this - I think the big stumbling block was that either the Wolves, or Pek, didn't want him playing overseas this summer - Now that it's been announced that he won't be playing in Montenegro, we should see some progress.

Time for Pek to do some fishing.

Who plays center then? We would have two stretch 4s and get eaten alive in the paint.

I think a good coach would make it work. They would be a matchup nightmare.

At this point, you just hold your ground. Nobody but Philly can offer him more than we have already offered. If Pek thinks he is a 15 million a year player then he needs a reality check because that is what Love is making and Pek is no where near as good as Love. I get that Pek's camp wanted to postpone it so he didn't have to play for Montenegro, but it really does sound like his camp is holding firm at 15 million which is ridiculous given his injury history. His camp is trying to play hardball when they have 0 leverage. If he really wants 15, then he should take the QO, hope he doesn't get injured and take that deal next summer. He's just not good enough to warrant this much attention when we have offered him a very reasonable deal given his quality play and injury history. What kind of player wants to rob his franchise blind when they are trying to build a winner?
