Remember last season? Beating the Lakers and Nuggets, on their floor, is growth!

If I thought they were a playoff team, I wouldn't be very impressed. But if you are a team trying to scratch out 25 or 30 wins, ANY win on the road is a really freakin' big deal.

Not to mention first time in team history starting out 2-0 on the road. Didn't Denver just beat Houston by 20 too? I know they didn't have Dwight but that's still supposedly a very good Houston team. Expectations definitely will have to be tempered, but for 2 games early in the season potential is meeting production. That hasn't been the case for what seems like forever.

Edit: Except for maybe the one game where Beasley and D-Will went off against the Clippers combining for like 50+ points. But that was once, this is twice...PLAYOFFS

Veteran leadership.

Less than 4 minutes and Rubio goes down and KG runs past everyone and is the first person to reach Rubio.

We didn't see that 2 years ago with Love.

I realize it's only two games, but if KG is leading on the court like this when the game is mostly done; can you imagine how he handles himself in practice, during timeouts, half-time.

Two wins, two games of holding the opponent to a sub-40 field goal percentage. Coincidence? No.

In all fairness to Love, he can't be there to reach Rubio first because he's still down at the other end of the court whining about a call.

@Twolves_PR: As @JimPeteHoops pointed out, KG didn't record 1st 28p/14r/4b game until his sixth NBA season. Towns did it in his 2nd career game. #Twolves

@APkrawczynski: Towns: 1st teen with double-doubles in his 1st 2 games.

Just so we understand how great Karl-Anthony was tonight...

I saw that too. I kid about the mentorship thing, but his leadership and intensity hasn't waned one bit.
