Trade Deadlne Approaching
Re: Trade Deadlne Approaching
I hope we trade neal at the deadline. A player his caliber should not be able to dictate where he wants to play etc.. If we cant get a frist for martin then I hope we involved ourselves with the on going dragic talks. Martin makes sense for the suns and wont hurt their cap. I would love to dump bud with him and i suggested getting lin earlier from the lakers.
Denver is looking to trade lawson, they are really in fire sale mode. I wonder if we could get gallinari from them? Would be ideal fit with wiggins at the wing spot.

Sam Amick: Kevin Martin trade unlikely, but sidenote: Martin likes Minny, & would only have interest in Dallas among previously mentioned teams.

Rumor has it that we're asking for a 2nd for Neal. Several teams, including the Hawks, are interested. My guess is that he gets moved for just that.
Martin, Young and Pekovic aren't going anywhere. At least that's what I think.
Denver is having a garage sale, so to speak, but I don't see them giving anybody away either. I also wouldn't give up anything significant for Gallo. He's already on the decline and may never be the smooth SF he once was. Not to mention he's only signed for the rest of this year and next. So, even if we did pry him away from Denver, and he somehow could find his groove again next year, he'd be in line for another payday at 27 years old.

Re: Trade Deadlne Approaching
I don't mind keeping Martin....that said, a Houston deal seems logical. They have 2 solid assets for us in Jones and also the Pelicans protected pick (which they should get this season....sitting around 14). Martin is an extremely valuable player, especially in a Houston type offense that values spacing and 3's. Also, his contract is downright cheap for what he provides a playoff team. Also, having him signed through next season is of value as well.

ESPN sources say Wolves and Nets have discussed deal to send Thad Young to Brooklyn in exchange for KG ... who of course has no-trade clause

There has to be a lot more involved otherwise that makes zero sense.

Yuck. I wouldn't do Thad for KG straight up. There has to be more involved.
Re: Trade Deadlne Approaching
I wonder if we include Neal to make salaries match... :)
I am 100% behind this trade. I love the nostalgia. I love getting rid of Thad.
Make it happen, Flip!
