Well, in his case it might be fair-(ish) to judge him at that point, seeing as he's 27 years old. The thing I will look for is the raw stuff like rebounding, playmaking/assists, and steals. Those things typically show up out of the gate with a guy that age and what you see is what you get. Individual defense and shooting efficiency probably need more time to evaluate.

I was just busting chops. I generally think guys need more than one full season before I start calling them names. I fully expect an adjustment period for him like any rookie - regardless of his age. I realize Euro ball has gotten better. But I have to believe the NBA will be a step up in competition for him.

Its sad that the 35th pick will be vastly better than the 4th pick. But alls well that ends well.

Flip got a steal!

Wow that is insane. All hail Flip again.

Agree, that is an incredible bargain if he turns into the type of utility PF we all hope he can become.

This is why it pays to use 2nd rounders on Euros that aren't ready to come over yet. They have a chance to continue to develop their game in Europe and then can be brought over when ready, yielding a discount compared to domestic free agent vets.

In a related story, you may have a new job when he gets here q. There is no way on earth his agent keeps his job when Bjelica sees Pek collecting 12 mil for sitting on his ass.

I beliebe that guy traded a future superstar number one pick for a petulant third wheel with an injury history. I doubt the mid-first round pick Flip gave up for Payne will turn out to be a superstar so I have to reject your offering.
