What if we end up with Bud on the roster? Are there any minutes for him on a regular basis before injuries? I could see some spot minutes here and there since he is a vet and a shooter but the perimeter is pretty crowded when healthy. I like Bud I think he is a solid player when totally healthy. He could have some value to the team when Martin goes down. Even then you would think Bazz Wiggins and Lavine would get the bulk of the minutes at SF/SG. I don't see him rocking the boat asking for a trade and sulking so that's good. I mean he could have just opted out if he wanted to leave although I get he might have not gotten as much money.

Speaking of guys we don't like talking about, perennial wolves hater Chad Ford says we'll be "very, very dangerous in a couple years."

Dieng with a nice game today in the Africa games. 32 points 10 rebounds hit all 10 FTs and was 3-5 from the 3 point line.

Yeah, I have notice some recent articles that fail to mention Dieng when citing our young players. Maybe it's because he's already 25, but he's a 3rd year player, just like Bazz, that could easily break out this year.
The minutes at PF and C this season present quite the quandary. A couple of guys that may or may not play any given game (Pek and KG), but will play when available. A couple of rookies that every wants to see play (Towns and Bjelica). Dieng who has already established himself and is deserving to show how much he has improved. And then Payne and Bennett who both need minutes to develop, too.
Looking at the minutes available, you would say there are not enough minutes to satisfy everyone. But knowing that Pek and KG will miss a number of games, you would say we are NOT too deep!

Dieng is sneaky good. He was definitely one of our best players last year. I know that's not saying much, but he's definitely somebody I'd like to see playing a lot this year.

Spain blew out this game but Dieng looked to be effective hitting 10/10 FTs again 3 blocks 8 rebounds and hitting 1/4 from three point land. It's really interesting he is taking those threes. Is Dieng and older more skinny lower ceiling version of what we hope Towns wil be? Dieng has the theoretical tools but can he put more of them together? It's crazy his offense has been more of a positive than his defense in alot of ways.

Think Dieng is going to develop into a very good player. First of all, he's a talented player with a nice shooting touch, great length, very good court vision, and excellent timing as a shot-blocker. He can score, pass, rebound and block shots. Bu I think it's what he has inside that will eventually propel him forward as a player. I was part of a small group of season ticket holders who met with him his rookie season. He was unbelievably intense and driven. He also exuded great confidence as well as a keen intellect. He just struck me and other season ticket holders at the time as the sort of guy who will get the most out his talents.
I see Dieng and Shabazz really taking off this next season if they stay healthy.

Thanks for reminding me about Dieng. I am not as pro-Dieng as most of you, but I love to head what Lip wrote. That drive and intensity will be key. Can he and Towns be a starting front court on an NBA playoff team?
