My only hesitation is that Dilly's contract will be handy in salary matching for landing a bigger fish if that's the direction they choose to go.... Which I'm leaning more towards.
Don't want they to be reckless or shortsighted but you it's hard to bet on this roster if they're gonna waste games like Ant had last night

I concur because past the deadline, Dillingham at best will be worth a couple of 2nd's.

I know that everyone wants a new PG and I don't disagree, but I personally don't know that they're gonna land the type of point guard in a trade that is either worth starting over Dante or losing Randle.
Happy to hear names, but I'm having a hard time coming up with realistically positive asset.
So the alternative, to me, is adding a versatile 2 way wing and moving Jaden to PF in place of Randle. After that you add a player like Alvarodo or Schroeder to come of the bench.
For wings I'm thinking someone in the mold of OG Anunoby, Franz Wagner, Dillion Brooks, or Aaron Nesmith. Doubtful any of those guys are gettable, but I wonder if any are.
Otherwise we're left hoping TJ can fill this gap...

Word was that New Orleans was also listening to offers on Herb Jones and Trey Murphy. Jones could fit that role if we go that route, if you send Randle to Detroit, Detroit sends a first round pick to New Orleans and players. Maybe you can grab Alvarado out of it or Ivey from Detroit. Indiana is also looking for a center of the future, maybe they would move Nesmith in a multi team trade where someone like Zubac gets sent to Indiana.

Alvarado can opt out of his small deal this summer, so you would want to know for sure you can extend him.

Jones is definitely the type of devalued asset the team should 100% be targeting, even outside of the whole trading Randle or Reid saga

Alvarado would be underwhelming to me. If we're going to make a move, I'd like to go for the big chips. But I'm a gambler so take that for what it's worth.

One thing to keep in mind is how healthy, knock on wood, the Wolves have been. Many of these trade targets being bandied about have big health concerns. How much should the Wolves value the night to night availability of their current guys? Sometimes that is the most important skill in the playoffs. Herb Jones seems to always be out hurt.
That said, I'd target Kris Dunn over Jose Alvarado. He could be another NAW type for this team.

I stand by Immanuel Quickley being a great fit for the roster and his salary is nearly identical to Randle's. They would still need target a defensive wing in that scenario cause I don't want to bump Naz into the starting lineup

Jaden Ivey would be nice buy low. Expiring who hasn’t gotten much run since coming back from injury.
