This Yankees Twins series seemed to be a fun matchup of teams bashing out runs back and forth. The Twins could have very easily won the series but went 1-2. Not terrible.

Yankees continue to have the Twins' number.

They certainly do. This series proves we are a little pitching away. Is it greedy to want to relievers and an ACE?

At least we leaned we have an offense that can slug with them. This team is still two ace quality pitchers away and full bullpen from even thinking of a World Series.

An Ace and RH & LH in the pen would really change this team. If we had an ACE on the staff it would really help by bumping pictures down into their proper spots.

Blake Parker Designated for assignment. Someone will for sure pick him up. Even with his outrageous 5.56 FIP he might be the luckiest reliever in the league. Paging Falvey you might want to make a bullpen trade sooner than later.

Speaking of Kepler Torii Hunter was on Wolfson's podcast recently and Wolfson asked Torii if Kepler had the prettiest swing on the roster and Torii danced around that a little and then said Kepler was a very good athlete and said if he went to the NFL combine and did all the drill and testing and people saw his body he would probably get drafted just based on his physical ability. That's probably going too far but still its probably a worthwhile compliment to consider when thinking about Kepler.

Good post looking back.

What do you think they do with the cash for players? Even as a scout I never could get answer on this. Supposedly it goes into the payroll for the rest of the year but your literally only getting 500,000-600,000 dollars for a player. So Blake Parker is worth my house *2 if it makes him feel better lol.

I'll take the cash they got for Mike Morin if they don't want it. lol I don't think as a fan it makes much difference except they got something instead of just a simple waiver claim. I'm sure it's nice to get some cash for the payroll although I don't think spending money is really a significant consideration for making deals considering what they have paid fielding the team for over half the year and dumped some small salaries in these waiver claims. I'd guess long term prospects matter a lot more but I'd also guy teams including the Twins aren't gonna take on some massive salary for a guy that's not worth anywhere near that. We still have a few days till things heat up but my brother said yesterday he was surprised there wasn't a few more early deals than there has been.
