Just finished watching the condensed game from last night. It's games like this that show why this teamwasnt good this year in addition to missing talented players. There were 2 plays in the OF where I have no clue what those guys were doing.

People have gotten upset about productive relievers at AAA not getting their shot and that's fair. One of those guys that hasn't always got his shot but has been up is Busenitz and...especially lately it's not been good for him. I like him and I think he can be effective but I cringe when he is out there right now. 8 HRs in 23 innings this year.

Cave was part of the WTF defense but he had 2 more hits including another HR.

The opener strategy looked solid with Moya doing well and Gonsalves having a plenty solid outing even with too many walks.

Kohl Stewart with another nice performance last night caught by Astudillo.

Robbie Grossman continues to get it done at the plate. I'd guess Rosario is shut down for the year after hurting his quad again.

It feels like a homer take but if we can't get Escobar back to play 2nd base (or someone else that's pretty good) I wouldn't hate to see Forsythe back here on a relatively cheap 1 year deal.

Forsythe back here on a relatively cheap 1-year deal works for me. I want Astudillo on this team next year. Go Turtle.

Odorizzi has a very good outing and Grossman just keeps doing his thing. Sano with 4 strikeouts although at least one where he was out looking was a very close pitch. Apparently Gimenez should never have left the Twins. He is hitting .300 with 2 HRs in 20 ABs. His pitching has really gone south though. So disappointing. :)

I love septemember call ups, keeps teams with losing records interesting because they can give a taste of the bigs to guys like Gonsalves and Stewart.

Agreed. I heard someone saying the MLB needs to adopt the minor league playoff system. I would be all for that.

Last night's game is another example of why this team is under .500. Still there were some encouraging positives. De Jong had a positive outing even if it was shorter than you would like. The Pen did a nice job till Hildy lost the game with a wild pitch. Astudillo continues to swing the bat with positive results. He already has 24 hits. He has caught some solid games from young pitchers.

I was watching the ASU Washington football game because I have a friend who plays at ASU and during a commercial I got to watch one pitch of the Twins game when I flipped over and it was the wild pitch. I laughed real hard and turn the channel back to the football game.

Classic 2018 Twins. The sad/somewhat amusing thing was Hildy looked like he was about to pitch his way out of a real jam...but no. I hoped the football game was enjoyable.
