Lip to steal from FNG, I care about scoring more points than our opponent. That's the one thing KAT hasn't done nearly often enough. I like KAT's game, in fact I marvel at his ability and skill. Don't tell me he never had good players around him. Trust me, I'm not getting into any Andrew Wiggins discussions, but he was the 2nd most impactful player for a world champion last year. He was also a rookie of the year. He also had Zach Lavine before Butler. I'm not saying everything was KAT's fault, but you can make an argument that he hasn't lifted the organization as much as he should have. He's a brilliant but flawed player. Let's leave it at that.
As for Jaden, you really lose me with your argument. He might not be taking giant leaps, but his progress is steady and the ceiling is way the fuck up there. Being talked about All NBA defense is a big deal. Hovering around 40% on threes for most of the year is a big deal. Shooting over 50% overall is a big deal for a wing. He has lots more to prove on offense for sure, but he's 22 years old and much better than when he came into the league. If whatever defensive rating you point to shows him as a poor defender, find another metric.
