Maybe Vando or Beasley? Maybe Beverly? All sorts of possiblities. And I expect our fan base to be "underwhelmed". But I expect our winning and team cohesion to improve.

Offensively, it's nearly comical how much better Russell has been than Conley for most of this season. But most of us also know the guy's warts, while Conley is considered a consummate teammate.

What wins out?

The mercurial scorer or the caretaker analytics darling? I dunno... but I do know the board might melt down while we figure it out over the next (xx) games.

I'd also prefer a bit more of a dynamic PG. But at least Conley can shoot better than the other caretaker PG on the roster. I do worry, however, about a lot of redundancy with both of them on the court. You could play McLaughlin and Russell together. I don't think you can do it with Conley and McLaughlin.

[Note: Remember, it's still a contract year for D. Russell... only he'll have the whole world watching his every game in LA. He can make A LOT of money if things work out. Playing with James and Davis won't hurt those chances. I expect him to thrive if this goes down. (at least for this season)... ]

Minnesota Receives: Ben Simmons, Royce O'Neil, Bones Hyland and 2023 1st RP (BKN)

Brooklyn Receives: D'Angelo Russell and Bryn Forbes

Denver Receives: Taurean Prince

God no.

Besides, Brooklyn traded their first to Utah, Brooklyn has Philly's 1st rounder.

If the rumors hold true, and I sincerely hope they do not, then Tim Connelly's on his way to having yet another bad trade to add to his resume. Yippee.

you know, unless Westbrook has another starting job lined up after he gets bought out, sigh him too. He can get all of Nowell/Rivers' minutes and Lord knows we could use the rebounding.

Aren't we going to give the Jazz another draft pick? It only seems fair.

As I've admitted many times, I was wrong when I prematurely labeled Rosas the village idiot. In truth, Rosas turned out to be the best top basketball executive this franchise has ever had. So I've been restraining myself when it comes to comments about Tim Connelly. But I'm troubled by this latest report about trading DLO for Conley. Perhaps there will be enough other stuff coming to the Wolves to justify that swap, but we'll see.

Lol. Good one, Doper. If the Wolves end up getting the Lakers 2026 and 2028 picks unprotected or lightly protected as part of swapping DLO for Conley, I'll be fine with the deal. But I suspect that's not the case. So we might as well just throw in another Wolves pick for the Jazz. Unfortunately for the Jazz, the Wolves can't trade any of their 3 remaining 1st round picks this decade. So they'd have to give Utah one or more of their remaining 4 second-round picks. :)

Woj is saying we may land picks too. If we could somehow snag a Lakers pick I would start laying the foundation for TC's redemption statue.

Like I've said, it's hard to get value on a guy that the league generally doesn't like.

Let's wait for the final deal.
