Budinger, Martin, Daniels, and Muhammed are all more offensively-oriented players. Once all those guys are healthy, Wiggins will go back to being the designated wing defender who won't get much offense run through him. That means that if he wants to get points, he'll have to work off the ball to get them.

I guess everyone agrees that Wiggins is no Budinger.

Well, this is silly. Yeah, lets go through past threads and ferret out individual comments from the past that folks made and find a "gotcha!" post that makes them look foolish in hindsight. Brilliant.

Yeah I think I would be caught with my pants down a few times. I guess the internet has a way of doing that in a variety of contexts.

Sorry Q, I know I could certainly be called out in the same way. But I firmly believe that if there are no checks on the board, it can become nothing but people spouting haphazardly without fear of retribution. I would only call you out on a thread that I was personally arguing an opposing position. I've been called out similarly before and I'm sure I will be again.

Cool, i agree with you on this. Yeah q is upset for looking bad on this but he should have thought about it before making the posts he made on a teen rookie 20-30 games into his career! He certainly didnt give wiggins the benefit of the doubt of being a rook and difficulty of having the responsibility of guarding the best wing and also being asked to carry the offensive load while the opposing defense is ficus on stopping him. Not many players in the league are being asked that whether vet or not. I have no problem with cool doing it and q could have come out and said he was wrong instead of complaining about it.

All of us make bad posts or are make to look bad in hindsight by some of our stands and posts and theres no shame in admitting them.

This is lame. For whatever reason, out of the blue, Cool decided that now would be a good time to go dig through an older thread (a thread that I didn't even initiate by the way) and cherry-pick one statement I made out of many posts, including one where I explicitly said it was too early to conclude anything with the rest of the season still to play. I thought it was poor form.

Q, you made it clear in your post that is being highlighted by cool that you thought wiggins will go back to being the wing stopper and role player on offense once martin comes back.

You even put guys like bud and daniels that will probably not see much if any time then as offense minded players that will take plays run for wiggins away from him. Thats pretty much your assumption then based on the 20-30 games wiggins play. Never have you acknowledge that wiggins play the same wing stopper role + featured offensive player even when those guys are out and even when we have brew on the team. You based that assumption on the 20-30 games you see wiggins play in his rookie season.

You are being called put for that and you can continue to make claims that you always say that 'it is too early' on the end of your statements yet you make a claim in wiggins reverting back to the role he had to start the season rather confidently.

You just need to admit that wiggins has so far exceeded the assumption you have for him and is progressing quicker than you thought he could for the season based on the 20-30 games you 'evaluate' him for.

Its easy to always hide behind the 'I did say its too early to conclude claim' you do and at the same time make assumption of why you think he isnt going to be as good as others claim and why he would revert back into being a defensive stopper 20-30 games into the season.

You can't be passive agressive like that q. You either admit that he has develop quicker than you thought and would surely be more than the role you just listed him for and stop shielding yourself with the 'Its too early to conclude' but at the same time your concluding a role for him the rest of the season.

Why on earth has a Timberwolves message board about our local NBA team suddenly become all about Q?? Wiggins has looked terrific the past month. As a result, he has put to rest many of the doubts about him that were beginning to crop up based on his less than stellar play earlier in the season. Q was one of a number of fans and posters expressing some of those doubts or questions. So what! Maybe it's just me, but participate on this Board to exchange opinions, analysis and information on the Wolves, not on other posters. If we want to discuss Q, then we should start a Q message board.

I'm all in on a Q message board. What's the URL?
