Cavaliers are pursuing a Kevin Love trade with Minnesota, contingent on the signing of LeBron James, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
It's going to be fitting when Lebron signs with the Heat, that the two most sorry franchises will yet again get a nice stomach punch

With Woj now reporting there is an offer involving Wiggins, let's play along and assume it is true. Here are my questions. And my answers.
1) Who do you think is involved in the proposed deal?
I think it is Love plus Bud or Martin in exchange for Wiggins/TT/Waiters/Bennett. The salaries balance out.
2) Do you think Flip would take that deal?
I think he will certainly try to leverage it into something better, but will eventually take it.
3) Is there a potential deal out there that you would like better?
Boston: Olynyk, Smart, filler and picks. No, because I'm not as sold on Smart as many others are. He shoots like Rubio in games, but if you watch his workout videos, he doesn't shoot as well as Rubio in workouts.
Houston: Jones/Parsons/Lin and filler. Not as good as the Cleveland deal
GS: Thompson/Lee/Barnes for Love/Martin. No, not interested enough in Lee.
Chicago: Butler/Gibson/McDermott/Mirotic. I would have to consider this one. Overall, I probably like it better than the Cleveland deal. This gets a little tricky, because the Bulls can't trade Mirotic for 30 days.
How do you guys answer these 3 questions?

1) Not sure. I think you might have Cleveland offering a little too much.
2) He better take that deal before they change their mind
3) There is no better deal out there, otherwise Flip would have taken it.

If the Wolves can get Wiggins, there is NO better deal on Earth than that. Are Parsons and Thompson better than Wiggins today? Probably, but both guys are going to make max (or near max) money starting this year or next. With Wiggins, you get a (potential) stud on a rookie deal, allowing the Wolves to build quicker over the next few years.
I agree with Cool that I'm not going to hold my breath because we are the Wolves and good fortune rarely finds us. But if this deal DOES happen, then it is an absolute home run in a situation that looked extremely bleak 3 months ago.

I read an espn insider article a couple weeks back that Kyrie , Thompson and Verajo were basically untouchable. Course that mightve been before there was a realistic chance to get James and Love.
Id be Okay with Wiggins, Bennet, Waiters and 1st for Love , Barea and Bud. Id lreally like to keep Martin as a 6th man.

If by some miracle all these dominoes fall and the Wolves get Wiggins I'll bet Wiggins will be a bust or have some horrific injury.... Wolves luck

Or even more likely hes a stud and he wants out after his rookie contract only to be traded to the Cavs to pair up with Lebron whos on his last run at Rings. Lebron would take less money and play the role of Wade to Wiggins role of Lebron.
Its almost too predictable these days.

1) I would definitely be pushing for a 1st round pick next year regardless. They have 3 of them currently. The nice thing about Bennett & Waiters is that they have team options next summer so worst case they could end up as expiring contracts. Plus Thompson only has 1 year left. Lots of young talent there and flexibility.
2) I think he would push for a pick as well even if it's the worst of the 3 picks next year or maybe swapping out one of the players for the better of the 3.
3) Outside of keeping Love & acquiring Gordon from the Pelicans the CLE deal is tops for me.

Yes. The idea was kicked around a week or so ago. Martin/Bud for Gordon with 2 years left on his huge deal. Worst case he ends up being a big expiring. Best case he stays healthy and gets back to form.
