Gorgui could easily be the future for this team in a Serge Ibaka type role (minus the 3 point shooting). But for the next 3 years we have him on a very reasonable rookie salary, so it makes sense that him and Pek can co-exist. Even if Pek remains the starter (which is fine because our overall first quarter has been dominant), Gorgui should obviously be the first big off the bench, log between 20 to 30 minutes a game, and also play in the 4th quarter when we need stops. We just need to find a new coach who doesn't have his head up his ass and can make what seems like a very simple rotation work.
Of course if you are offered a deal for Pek that brings back a strong 2-way wing you do it. Or if Gorgui a year from now really improves maybe you try to move Pek in the off-season. For now though, the goal should be to make Love, Pek and Gorgui into a 3 headed monster with Gorgui getting his share of the overall minutes available. And when Pek misses his usual 20 to 30 games you have Gorgui there to start.
The problem is Adelman. He has had his head stuck so far up Dante Cunningham's ass that it took him 60+ games for Gorgui to get into the rotation (and even then he screwed it up: Gorgui should have been brought back in the 4th tonight for defense and help on the boards...Jim Pete pointed it out right when probably every Rube with pulse was thinking the same thing--I know I was)
