Another guy I am interest in and is available via trade is Cam Johnson at Brooklyn. On a 20 mil contract this season, 22 mil the following.

He is a 40% 3 point shooter, but what stands out is his 47% shooting from the right hand corner. The corner 3 is generally always an open shot with Finch's offensive sets and Ants driving game.

A combination of Julius Randle and 17th Pick would surely be enough to acquire Cam Johnson, a 2nd RP (or two) and cap space (10 mil). A third team such as Miami would likely need to be involved to take Julius Randle.

Hypothetical:

MIN receives: Cam Johnson and two 2nd RP (MIA's 2026 & 2027)

BKN receives: Duncan Robinson, Jamie Jaquez Jr and 17th Pick (MIN)

MIA receives: Julius Randle

This would allow us to extend Naz who would become our starting PF and also re sign NAW as well.

NAZ: 4 years, 104 mil. 23/25/27/29 mil.
NAW: 3 years 42 mil (Full MLE). 13/15/17 mil.

We would have 31st pick and vet min contracts to round out the roster and stay under the 2nd apron.

Man, you put a lot of work into these! Good stuff.

Cam seems sort of like Durant-lite, so I assume he'd be Naz's backup? We would definitely need another legit bench Center then since there is no way we could get away with a big rotation of just Rudy, Naz, and Cam.

I'd look at it with Randle and our 31st, and Naz more around the 20 mil mark per. Cam isn't all that, and what has Naz proven to be worth a 10mil+ per promotion over the last two years?

I dont think I'd trade Randle for Cam straight up and definitely wouldn't include 17. Wolves need to choose carefully moving off of Randle since he is the only other guy that we can run the offense through not named Ant. Spacing the floor for Ant isn't enough. There is a need for someone who can bear the offensive load throughout a game. Cam ain't that.

Brooklyn's not adding a 5th first round pick

I like Wildwolf’s trade idea, which I think is fair and realistic. But I agree with you that it doesn’t work well for us unless we also pair Ant with a starting backcourt mate who is an elite ball handler through whom the team can run the offense from time to time to take the load off Ant. I think we have that guy in Rob Dillingham but I don’t know that he’ll be quite ready next season to step into that role without the team taking a temporary step back. I think we should be willing to take that step back, especially next season when we have our own first round draft pick.

Paul George said today that the best landing spot for Giannis would be the Wolves. And according to Phil Mackey we are allowed to trade for him. What would a realistic package look like to get him? I'll take a shot but would like the group to offer their own.

17, 31, Rudy, Randle, Shannon, Dillingham, and Minott

I just can't see them wanting Rudy

I would start with 17, Julius, Naz and Rob BUT

I doubt these talks go anywhere without Jaden so . . .

Julius, Jaden and Rob with NO picks. I'm hesitant to lose Jaden but it IS Giannis. Could Reid start WITH Giannis and Rudy?

Rudy
Naz / Lenny?
Giannis / TJ
Ant / JC
Donte? / Mike

Also still have the picks in this scenario for a point guard and a big.

A Rudy/Giannis front court sound pretty awesome even if spacing could be an issue.

I would still prefer to keep Jaden and Rob if possible, and I think the Bucks would want to get picks back in return for Giannis.

Yeah, can't believe they wouldn't demand Jaden. That would be a requirement if I'm the Bucks. Then throw in Dillingham, #17, and Randle and may be that gets it done. Of course we don't know yet if he'll ask for a trade.
