2019 Twins Thread

It is a strange season due to no more nonwaiver trades. Teams that trade earlier might have gotten better value. Then again you might see prices drop before the deadline as teams feel it is better to get something than nothing. I think next Wednesday will be crazy or fizzle.

Nelson Cruz is on a pretty good run right now. The Twins crushed a good pitcher and also had 4 errors. I thought the Royals May pull out a win but couldn't quite do it.

We oddly have a new standard of excellence with the Twins. 3 dingers in a game now equals "pretty good" :-)

Cruz continues his tear at the plate and Pineda had a nice outing. Meanwhile Cleveland took care of the Royals and you gotta see the defensive play Plesac had in that game. The Twins have the 4th best winning percentage in baseball and Cleveland is 2 games back.

We added a game yesterday. Bomb Squad was at it again. Kind of wish we didn't have a day off.

Smeltzer with another nice performance today to help get the sweep. I noticed lately that Dozier has started to heat up at the plate. He also got taken deep by Escobar the other day. Lol Kurt Suzuki was the catcher.

I hear ya. I've been a Cave guy and watching condensed games I'm probably seeing the bad plays in the field more than the good ones (which he had a nice one a couple days ago) but...yeesh that ball getting past him last night was bad. And yeah I haven't even said anything about his bat yet.

Unfortunate that Wade and Rooker are both hurt.

Adding more...who the heck is even playing OF in AAA? Note Cave's AAA Numbers are pretty good. He has to be better (meaning less bad) than he has shown in his various stints with the Twins this year. At this point until someone gets healthy they probably don't have another option.
