Man Adrianna had a day today. Look up some of those defensive plays he had at 3rd if you haven't seen them already and he did some work at the plate too.
Gibson is back on track and finishing strong.
The A's were the ones flubbing things up today. The Twins took advantage.

I think we have some positives to build off from this month, but sadly Buxton and Sano are not part of them.

A nice outing by Stewart last night. He only threw 75 pitches in 6 innings I'm not sure why they took him out. Hildy is struggling right now.
Mauer now has the Twins record for most times reaching base safely in a career. I'd say at this point it seems more likely he retires than returns but we will see.
Forsythe seemed rusty in the field or just was bad and he has been pretty good out there. If you are wondering about how Brian Dozier is doing for the Dodgers...it's not good at the plate. After that hot start it's been pretty rough going and the Dodgers despite making a bunch of moves haven't exactly been that great. They wouldn't make the playoffs in the AL. I'm cheering for the Brewers to win their division over the Cubs.

I saw Stewart had another good outing. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the club next spring. I wouldn't have said that last spring.
I agree. I think Mauer will walk away. I wouldn't be surprised if Sunday is his last game. Lucky for us it is at home.

Thoughts from the last 3 games.
Astudillo is fun to watch and hitting the ball like crazy. It's still a small sample size but the Twins may have found a very nice player. He sounds like the type of guy Escobar is that justkeeps things fun. Yesterday while catching Berrios he was firing the ball to 3rd after strikeouts and holding the pose for 3-4 seconds. Lol
The people that were worried about Kepler are looking smarter than me. He has really struggled the last few weeks which sucks.
Grossman is hotter than Astudillo which is saying something. He is up to .277/.368 for the season. Might as well bring him back at this point.
Garver has a heck of a day at the plate.
Berrios looks dto he back on track and went over 200 strikeouts. Man that number sounds good.
I don't remember who all he has pitched against but Chase De Jong maybe should make Bleed's list of guys that should figure into the team next year. He had another pretty solid outing yesterday. The Twins suddenly have a bunch of interesting starters that have gotten their feet wet at the major league level and showed something. Not all of them will turn out but it makes me want to keep May in the Pen maybe as the closer.

Great to see the team finishing strong...nice day yesterday! I'm going to brave the cold and be there for the finale tomorrow. I'm clearly a Mauer detractor late in his career (Garver may pass him in RBIs this weekend despite almost 200 fewer ABs), but he has been a true professional here and it will be fun to give him a standing ovation on what may be his final at bat. Looking forward to watching Astudillo too!

Have fun at the game I'm a little jealous I would like to be there.
Astudillo...after a couple plays last night at 3rd base...um maybe we should consider him a legit option at that position. This team has finished strong despite losing player after player to trades or injury. The last few games they are fielding fringe players because of even more injuries. Since the end of July they are actually .500 or better. Kinda amazing really comsidering what they are working with out there.

Joe doubled in his last at bat and came in and caught the first pitch of the 9th. I dragged the kids down for this. Fun game to be at and weather was pretty nice.

I admit I got emotional watching the clips of Mauer today. It seems pretty clear he is done after catching in the 9th. Glad you were able to go that should be a fun memory to have. There have been some fun articles written about Mauer and the old videos of him from HS times etc have been fun to watch as well. I'm glad he had a nice send off I do think he does deserve it.

I complain about him an awful lot but man I shedded a tear watching him come off out for the 9th. Hopefully I can plan a trip in the future to go watch him get put in the HOF
