Ha. Could be seen either way.

We've seen the kumbaya Wolves falter once the season started before. Personally, I never bought into the alleged "happy to be a team" vibe we've been given in 2021. But we'll know soon enough, I guess.

Exactly my reaction. Although I think we have some guys who truly hate to lose, so I tend to look at it like Cam and Finch as a good thing. Whether we're good enough to be competitive is another issue, but at least I see the early season intensity as real.

I'd suggest everyone listen to Ant's post-game presser from last night. I don't listen to all of them every game, but I think that one is something every Wolves fan should hear.

Yeah, I'm also interested in hearing it so I hope Cam can share a link. There's nothing I can find anywhere on the internet except on Dane Moore's podcast (I'm not a subscriber). Dane suggests it hasn't uploaded because Ant did his interview so late last night, but I think it's more likely they won't upload it because it's laced with F bombs...Glen is a prude. If you find it, tell the kids to go outside before you play it!

So in this game the defense rebounding for the Pels was 45 to 11 Wolves offensive rebounds. Wolves had 30 defensive rebounds vs 15 Pels offensive rebounds. The Wolves missed 59....I repeat Fifty-nine shots....59! That is a lot more chances for defensive rebounds. If the Wolves shoot closer to 45%, that is 10 less defensive rebounds available.

There is still an issue, but make more shots and the difference isn't as great.

Yeah, for sure. Wolves Radio usually uploads them on SoundCloud. That's where I listen to them.

Completely agree Cam, must watch interview with Ant. Talk is cheap, so we need him to back it up. Having said that, I loved what I heard. I like Kat, but nowhere in his 9 minute long tangents in his postgame interviews (granted I didn't watch last nights, so maybe his was good too) has he sounded like the true leader Ant come across as. I'm believing more and more if the Wolves are going to go deep in the playoffs ever, Ant will be the alpha on the team with out without Kat. Kat needs to listen to the voices of reason (Beverly and Ant) and he'll be fine. I get he doesn't get calls, but as many have said, including Beverly, he needs to just play and trust it will come back around. I hope he finally gets it at some point this year. I'm optimistic he will. He's a smart guy.

I get there are a lot of DLO trolls on this board, but man it gets old. We have played three games. As coach Finch said, DLOs shooting will be just fine. He is in a slump like every player goes through. Unfortunate it is to start the year. Needs to find his Rhythm. If it makes anybody feel better he was absolutely terrible like this the first four games of his all star year where Brooklyn made the playoffs (look it up if you don' believe me). I still wish he would be more efficient and I'd also like to see him move the ball like Ant described. Those are growth areas he still needs to prove he can do. But the dude is not going to suddenly forget how to shoot, so relax. Also, I'm happy with his defense. He clearly has committed to it. That's all I ask with him. He isn't athletic enough to be an excellent defender. At least he is trying not to be a liability out there.

I'm with Finch and Ant on the offense. I'm confident as chemistry builds and if our main guys share the ball, we will be just fine.

Thought I'd share a little optimism here. Too many pessimistic takes lately from people. I'm a glass half full guy and have a good feeling about this season still.

Not to beat a dead horse here, I've been concerned about Kat's maturity and leadership ability for quite awhile. Ever since his rookie year he seemed so scripted with his comments to the media and superficial. He never seemed like some comfortable in his own skin, always needing validation, which I think make it difficult to really connect with his peers. The way he reacted to his teammates successes during games has always as odd to me.

I think it was during the off season after his rookie year he made a comment about how he reached out to Bill Russell to get tips on how to be a leader. I remember thinking at the time he's really fake and disingenuous and I think his teammates can see right through it.

From the opening tip last night he had an agenda and that was to get back at the refs, it was all about him and the refs and not concerned about the team or beating the Pelicans. For me last night was extremely disappointing, I could care less about how bad we shot, it was sad because it further confirmed to me Kat hasn't matured and isn't really to ready lead a team.

Ant's not a perfect player by any means, but he's 20 years old. I think it's fair to critique him a bit different then Kat and Dlo based on age and experience. Ant's interview I found extremely sincere and professional beyond his years. You can't tell me guys like JO, JV and Jaden aren't gonna want to follow a guy like that?!?

I recommend ready Robson's assessment of last night game. Pretty good read
