Woj

Sources: Hawks aren't ruling out possibility that they could bring back Al Horford. If he decides to stay, ATL has ways to unload salary.

You would think with them bringing on Howard Splitter would be a guy they would dump for nothing. Considering what some centers are getting there might be a number of takers.

Just checking in now and wow, just wow...Conley didn't get 30 million, right? That was a reporting error???

Even pork chop is saying 13/14 for rubes isn't too bad.

Would Millsap embrace coming off the bench? Do teams want Splitter? Wolves can dangle Tyus as a fill in for Teague on tiny salary. Could also lighten the protection on the owed pick. Teams like Celtics could make a better offer but would Hawks deal him to a team they directly compete with?

Teague was already traded to Indiana.

Also:

Given the multiple questions... Bear in mind Hawks don't need to clear room for Horford's future salary, just his $18M hold. He's full Bird!

I wonder what cheap piece we have that they would want to clear that space? Jones, Payne back for Splitter, Scott?

It's the new cap we can just absorb those salaries and not take anything back plus it gives them a trade exception. The question is would they or will they have to pay a team to take those players.

The Jazz agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent Joe Johnson on a two-year, $22 million deal.

That would have been a good deal for us. 12/4/4 with 37-40% 3pt shooting and the ability to play both wing spots and handle the ball a bit. I also think even though it hasn't been tried much if at all to date I would bet he could hold his own as a small ball 4 at 6'7 240 like Pierce.
