Andrew Wiggins is on a level above any of our wing players. I hope guys here stop trowing stats that suggest he and martin has similar efficiency or something like that. I don't like it when that happens.

Fact is I feel more confident of our chances when wig is on the floor than any other wing.

Absolutely! Wiggins is not only our best wing; he's also our best player by far. Through this first month of the season, Wiggins has recently shown the ability to take over games in the 4th quarter. We're beginning to see the makings of a future star. He decided in the 4th quarter tonight that he wasn't going to let his team suffer the humiliation of a home loss to the worst team in the NBA winning its first game of the season.

Just as Mitchell envisioned. :)

I swear, he's got one foot planted in the moron camp and the other in the genius camp. I can't figure out which camp is right.....

Q - Take a closer look. Sam has both feet in the moron camp.

I'm not ready to come to that conclusion yet. While he's given us fans plenty of good material to complain about, the bottom line is we're 6-8, which would put us on pace for about 35 wins on the season. That is a massive improvement. Of course, before we played the Sixers we were on pace for 30 wins. Either way, that's ahead of my prediction which was 26 wins, so I can't complain.

Our #1 problem coming into this season was defense and this year it's the #1 reason we have improved. How much credit Mitchell deserves vs. KG, Rubio, and Towns - I don't know - but he's the head coach and made it a point of emphasis from the very beginning. We've gone from a distant last in the league to 14th in defensive rating. We'll see if that trend holds up.

I'm certainly not crowning him as our long-term solution as head coach and he's made a lot of head-scratching decisions, but I can't complain about their record so far. Others that had playoff aspirations perhaps have more to complain about. I never envisioned this team as a playoff squad this year.

Lip, agreed he was awesome at the end. My issue with Wiggins is that it took him 40+ minutes before he got that ultra-aggressive thing going. The same thing happened a few games back as well where he won the game for this team via his aggressive play the last few minutes of the game. With his athleticism and skills, he needs to be like that all game, and not just small portions of the game.

If he's that way all game at almost 40 MPG's not only would he not be able to pull off these 4th quarter performances, but he'd also run out of gas again as the season wears on. There's maybe a handful of guys that go hard 100% all game every game. The rest of the good players know how to conserve energy so when their team needs them they can step up and win the game.
