Wiggins is being thrown into some horribly inefficient situations. The hero ball offense has to stop. We always give the ball to him and have him iso or post. Almost none of his touches come on handoffs or in motion of any kind. That's on the coaching staff and the offensive system. Take overtime tonight for example. They put him in the PnR with Towns once and he got to the rim with nobody riding him the whole way there and he made a shot over Hibbert. Then we run a double pick for Rubio where the defenders stick to Towns and Wiggins like glue and Ricky gives it up to Wiggins at the top of the key with no efficient options to go to so he tries to drive and misses Ricky on the spin (who didn't clear out to the corner which kept his defender right there to trap Wiggins and force the loose ball and eventual turnover). Actual ball movement and motion would help Wiggins so much, but instead we basically run iso plays for him where he has to beat his man off the dribble into the teeth of the defense and make garbage half the time or draw the foul. Our offensive system is basic and garbage. Most of the plays we run for Wiggins should be last ditch, end of the shot clock plays, not as a first option. Iso drives are for guys like prime Kobe and Lebron and Melo. Wiggins clearly isn't on their level yet so put him in some better positions to succeed and run him in some real action playing off the other guys on the court. He may not be great at it yet, but he basically needs to be playing PnR with a big all the time to give him more efficient options to work with instead of always driving with a guy riding him right into the teeth of the defense. Frankly nobody on our team should be doing that except out of necessity. These guys are being forced into some pretty bad offensive habits because of the lack of any kind of good ball movement, non-hero ball system.

I think you made a great point I would love to see the last 3 minutes of the fourth and in ot, the shots we missed because they were almost all iso to martin or wiggins

I'm one of Wiggins biggest fan and supporter here but I have to admit that his rebounding is really bad. I see him boxing out and battling for boards but he just couldn't pull down the tough rebounds. He needs to get stronger, improve his hands( how, I don't know), and hopefully with more experience, have better timing and anticipation. I'm not worried though as rebounding is a skill that can be improved upon.

As bad timing would have it, I would say Moe would be great for this team as it stands. Only becuz he wouldn't need to be "the"scoring option like he was last year . I like a lot of things Ricky does during the game but when a shooter is needed Moe could fit the bill . Otherwise I'd be all for looking to Sactown or the Pelicans to see what it takes to get their backups. Martin and whomever in return?
Unfortunately the Cavs wouldn't give Moe up for Martin.
Wait....So after your relentless ranting about how horrible Rubio is in a game we won, your solution is to make a trade for Mo Williams?
Brilliant!

Simply to be Rickys backup . I also pointed to two other players. But go ahead and ignore that . I also don't believe I was ranting so much as responding and defending my position.

I agree to an extent, 3 of the last 6 championship point gaurd are Chalmers and barea. And the two pgs before that were rondo and fisher
all who shoot better then Rubio actually
Chalmers had Lebron, Barea had Dirk. Successful non superstar teams have guards that can shoot.
I agree with you to an extent, I understand what you are saying but the wolves have sucked when rubio has went down. When shoot first pgs play in mo Williams, Barea, lavine luke ridnour
To be fair, they haven't exactly been good WITH Rubio though

Nobody this year. I suggested trying to get Russell while his stock was low, but everyone laughed it off because the stock is low.
I personally would like Tyus to get a shot. Let him be the backup for 15-20 minutes and see how it does. If he fails you can always go to Miller or go back to Zach. You don't have to trade Rubio for another PG, but you can trade him to fill other holes in your roster and look in FA or the draft for another

Which Russell? DeAngelo?
I don't think his stock was ever THAT low for the Wolves to land him with anybody other than Wiggins and/or Towns. And that's not a trade in the Wolves favor.
Maybe LaVine and others?

I suggested Rubio and a 1st for Russell and Young. People didn't like it. Thought we were getting robbed.

Maybe Bazz Dieng and a 1st for Russell and Young, then Rubio for Ryan Anderson? I dunno pulling stuff out of my butt

For those of you hoping Martin hurt his wrist last night, it turns out his X-Rays came out negative and he will probably be good to go against Denver.
In all seriousness, this is a very good thing. We want him to be healthy and playing well. That only increases his value around the league.
