I agree, monster. Joerger was HIGH on my list before Adelman came on board. He's got 3 more years under his belt, including his one year of NBA head coach experience, which btw, includes playoff experience and coming one Zach punch away from taking down the Thunder.

It does seem like a done deal!

I don't know much about the Joergermeister, but it sounds good to me. Cheers to Flip if he can get it done.

/will keep it on ice until it happens

Props to Flip if he makes this happen. I wonder if he knew that the Memphis front office was about to crumble or if he is just being opportunistic. Either way I am glad and this is the guy I want. This could be a long-term deal, which I am in favor of.

Woj on yahoo says the interview is within 24 hours and the process could move quickly.

Joerger won and won championships at every stop he made between the Dakota Wizards and Skyforce. Every time he took over a team he had one of the top records in the league if not the best. If you can coach up guys in those situations with that crazy regularity that's pretty impressive. Also he was basically the guy that took over Memphis defense that made steady progress toward's being one of the league's best. Please make this happen Flip. I think Love would like playing for him and Joerger has some credibility because he coached a legit contender type team in the playoffs. No shame in losing to OKC in 7 in the first round. Something tells me he has an eye for talent too because of his success in the lower leagues.

If he is hired, I know it is a long shot but would Randolph come with him on a MLE. Then trade Love for Waiters, #1 Varejeo. Draft Wiggins and at 13 draft Lavine (we can take the risk there)

Rubio/Barea/Lavine/ Shved
Martin/Waiters/Bud
Wiggins/Brewer/Bud/Shabazz
Randolph/Varejeo
Pek/Dieng/Turiaf

Wow, I didn't even realize Joerger was in play. This is a much needed dose of good news.

That is a young tough defensive minded basketball team

That is not a defensive-minded team.

From Stein: "Should be noted, of course, that Wolves might have to manufacture compensation to get Joerger away from MEM while he remains under contract"

Think they'd take Budinger? :D
