Totally agree that added competition and depth is a good thing. If Dunn turns into a great player, it opens up a bunch of options for us. I just think it would be premature of Thibs to pull the trigger on moving a top 15 PG in Rubio before Dunn has played a single NBA game.

I also agree. I like that Dunn can push our presumptive starters at both backcourt positions.

This will be his second consecutive double double. Who knows...he could be the steal of the draft.

Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns are courtside to see the Timberwolves take on the Raptors in Summer League action.

Not sure if this was said or not in this thread .. But this is the type of stuff i love about these guys!!

I really didn't get why people got down on him in the draft process. So he circumvented the system. He still was an athletic 7 footer with basketball skills. Milluake may be the first team to ever have their whole starting 5 be over 6'9".

We should give Woods a contract as out 15th man.

http://espn.go.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/17031564/nba-las-vegas-summer-league-grades-day-5

Christian Wood, Philadelphia 76ers: B-plus

Of the unsigned players at summer league, Wood has perhaps been the most impressive when his performance at the Utah Jazz Summer League is included. At 20, Wood continues to show major potential as a stretch 4/5.

In one sequence in the fourth quarter, he made a 3, then up-faked a defender at the line the next time down and drew a foul. Oh, and Wood also had a monster rejection of a shot before the third-quarter buzzer and made five of his seven attempts inside the arc, finishing with 22 points.

While Wood remains unpolished defensively, a team that puts in the time to develop him could end up with a productive player in time.

Any news whether Dunn will play tonight? I'd still like to see him again, but it's probably too soon, and if it were me, I'd shut him down for safety's sake. We've seen enough. The risks outweigh the benefits.

No word yet, but I gotta believe they're not going to rush him back for a meaningless SL game. I noticed Kyle Anderson has left the Spurs team too after 2 dominating games (much like Zach last year), so there may not be much reason to watch this one. Game is at 5pm Central on NBATV for those interested.

That's midnight Central (European) time for anybody else over here. Not worth it without Dunn, honestly.
