I wonder what kind of insurance he has to do something like that.

What do you mean?

Meaning if he gets hurt. Or something happens. I would think he has some sort of coverage during his gap in contracts.

I don't think Lebron is gonna drag this out too long. It seems like he is aware of what his image looks like and making everyone wait forever will make him look bad. I don't think its gonna get resolved tomorrow, but I don't think its gonna take weeks either.

Volans, Monster. Of course I want this over soon, I can't take the media coverage anymore. I just laugh at how much power and control these superstar players have now. It's too funny.

Magic just signed Channing Frye to a four year $32M deal.

Ok, the NBA free agent market is busted. I thought the new CBA was created to eliminate these crazy ass deals. Frye is a good rotation player, he is a really nice fit in Orlando with Vucevic and Gordon. But in no way is he worth $8M over four years. Two years, yeah that would be a decent deal. I understand the cap is expected to balloon for the next few years, but jesus, and I thought Meeks was a terrible overpay

It could be they needed to get to the cap floor. Their two biggest contracts, Nelson and Afflalo, are gone and I'm guessing just about everyone else is still on a rookie deal. It's an overpay no doubt but that's what it takes when you aren't a contender. Plus with so many rookie Frye's deal will be done by the time they need to sign them.

There goes a "Stretch 4" option the Warriors were looking at as an alternative to Kevin Love.

The warriors already agreed on a deal with Livingston using their MLE, so they don't have the capspace for a guy like Frye.

They need to move Jack to open the space for a max deal for Lebron, and the Love deal would be a trade, so yes they can.
