Who blinks first?
Re: Who blinks first?
Cool - I don't think Wiggins has yet been offered. But I think the Cavs will soon put Wiggins on the table as part of a package for Love once they get it through their heads that Flip won't budge on including Wiggins as a minimum part of any deal. My only question is whether Flip will accept the Wiggins offer. I think he will if the deal includes Tristin Thompson, but I'm not sure.

I know this sounds incredibly homeric of me, but I agree with that. I think we're all going to be astounded at the energy this team puts out next year without the tired old guy running the team and a superstar that his teammates hate. Addition my subtraction. Sometimes intangibles can be enormously important in a team's success. I really think the Wolves are going to be this year's Phoenix.
HOMER! :)
I loved that Noah link. He might be my favorite player now.

I learned something new through all of the chaos today... chris broussard is an idiot. I love the fact that ONE of these fake "nba insiders" got busted for creating lies for his personal benefit. I actually started to question his tweets today when he said that Wiggins would not be part of the deal and then tweeted that Waiters would also not be part of the deal. I started to think that this guy is grasping for anything he can hold onto. I then researched his past...LOL ! It is crazy that someone with no journalistic ethics can be employed by the "so-called mothership". He has been called out time after time. If you want to see something really funny look up Jeff Pearlman's tweets about chris broussard. Jeff was a former writer for Sports Illustrated.

Sorry Khans for fueling your turmoil. As I stated before the main point I was trying to make is that I believe Flip has put the brakes on the trade with Wiggins until he knows what Melo is doing. If Melo goes to NY it'll drive up Loves value because Cleveland and Chicago will be in a bidding war. Cleveland's bluffing by saying they won't trade Wiggins because they want a trade done now before Chicago enters the equation.
I'm really warming to the idea of keeping Love for a year. I think he'd have to do a lot of growing up to play for MN next year and if we have some success he may grow up enough to realize his best move is to stay

We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. Ricky/Brewer on your wings is a lot different than Curry/Iggy. Lee also doesn't solve any defensive problems. I don't think Thompson solves our defensive problems because we would still be just as bad at the rim.
While I agree Lee doesn't solve defensive issues, Klay does. Why? Because it puts less pressure on our bigs to cover for our perimeter defenders getting beat off the dribble. It also allows Ricky to play defense on the off-guard and playing passing lanes while Klay takes the ball handler. So with that, it hides a lot of defensive weaknesses. Don't agree? Then how does a team starting Steph Curry (not a defender) and David Lee (not a defender) end up #3 in the NBA in defensive efficiency?
AI?

They've told him he is not going to be traded. There is no way Flip wants to keep Love at this point. That would be a terrible situation next year. I think Flip is being smart by biding his time, something I didn't believe he would do. But I'm sure he wants him gone and as soon as an offer presents itself that makes sense, he will be.
Couldn't agree more, cool. Flip would take a Wiggins+ offer in a New York minute (wtf does that mean, btw?). And yes, Love has to be gone...too much damage. The only part I don't agree with you on is I don't think the Cavs' deal is necessarily dead. I heard too many talking heads agree that it was in the Cavs' best interest today, and eventually they may decide that Love gives the a better chance to win this year. If I'm the Cavs, I'm keeping the young talent. But that's not the consensus on this board or in the national media.

Vince Carter to Memphis. Nice move for them a loss for the Mavs.

Do you really believe this? Love is 100% not going to be a Wolve in 15-16. He probably isn't going to be one next year.

Another thing I find interesting: Mike Miller is said to be angling to go to Cleveland to play with Lebron again. Why in the world would they want Miller if they weren't trying to win immediately? How could you justify using financial assets on Miller, but saying no to a Love deal? I'm not sure they know what they're doing in Cleveland.

another reason I believe Wiggins is already on the table. Why haven't they signed him yet?
