Hey the Warriors lost to the Spurs. For all the problems and complaints we have about our team, the reality is all of these teams in this jumble have their warts. Who can cover them best from now on?

It wasn't you, when I turned the game on they were up 20. I've got to quit watching.

Playoff status.com has the Wolves likeliest scenario to be the 4 seed. That would be wild.

Funny how that turned out, huh Phenom? Assuming we take care of business against the hapless Nets and Jazz, I see only 2 ways we don't get the 4th seed, and I'm more worried about the second way:

1) The Clippers finish 4th if they upset the Warriors Sunday. I don't think this is going to happen.

2) The Nuggets finish 4th if they "upset" the Rockets Sunday. The Rockets are the better team, but I have upset in quotes because the Rockets have second place locked up and may rest some players Sunday...I like the fact that at least 3 Rocket starters won't play tonight against the Lakers, so maybe they won't be resting Sunday. We'll have to see.

But if both these games go the right way, we will have the 4th seed and host the Clippers. Great news that we could finish 4th, but not so good news that we would likely face the hottest team in the Association as the Clips have won 6 in a row.

Question: What is the better scenario? To finish 4th and host a series against the Clippers, or to finish 5th and go on the road against a Nuggets team we have handled this season? I guess I'll take the Clippers series, but it's close.

Sixth seed is also very likely if we win out. I would prefer to avoid the lakers but I believe that is the most likely scenario

Only a 20% chance of 6th according to playoffstatus.com, kek, but it could happen.

I'm curious if Houston might try to dictate the seeding a little. They could try to push the Lakers out of their side of the bracket by going all out to beat them and give Denver a chance to be 3rd. But maybe Houston doesn't have a preference. Houston's decisions will be a big deciding factor.

I like to think a Wolves matchup with Denver would be a win for the Wolves. I'm not sure what to make of the Clippers. The Wolves havent played them in a while but I still feel it's a winnable matchup.

I've been wondering the same thing about Houston. They are locked into 2nd place, so they can decide to rest players or to go all out to move the seeding around. Right now I think Denver is the 7 seed in my forecast (having the worst head to head record among the 4 teams I project to tie with 49 wins...Wolves, Clips, Warriors and Nuggets), and Houston would face them in the first round if they win their play in game. Do they want to face Jokic in a first round? Maybe. But if they tank the final game of the year against Denver, Denver would get sole possession of the 4 seed, the Wolves would drop to 5th (and go on the road in a series against the Nuggets), and Golden State would drop to 7th and play Houston. I think the Rockets would rather play Denver than Golden State, so we may see them play all their regulars on Sunday to try to beat Denver. I guess we'll have to see!
