Mitch Leidner is ranked 12th in this class. That says enough about this groups depth and not as you hit there is not clear top QB in this group. 7 QB's landed in the top 6 tiers of McShay's'. All falling in tier 4-6. So basically we have 7 QB's that are pretty much at the same level. If Nathan Peterman or Joshua Dobbs was available in 5th and had the draft land the way we want I could see drafting picking either of them.

If I am the Browns I am not doing a QB until 3rd round.

I heard a couple weeks ago some talk on the radio that the Browns were basically considering punting on the QB position till the next draft. I don't see a reason to draft a QB just because you need one and you have picks. For this year get a guy later in the draft like you said that you like and hope you get lucky. I know Osweiler is a joke or whatever but he seems like a guy that could be decent enough for them for a year or till he gets hurt and if he really blows...well isn't that kinda good for them getting a higher pick? Lol

They can see what Osweiller brings and they have Kessler that has a year under his belt. Hugh Jackson was very high on Kessler so I wouldn't draft a QB until 3rd or 4th pick for them.

Well, Brantley is probably off the board.

Former Gator DT Caleb Brantley won't be charged before NFL draft http://es.pn/2paV6T1 via http://es.pn/app

I forgot about Kessler it seemed like he actually had some good moments for them last year. That offense wasn't totally broken. It seems like the Browns the last few years actually have been able to have some decent QBs look moderately competent no matter which OC was running the offense. I suppose in so so many ways thebar is pretty low.

This reminds me somewhat of La'el Collins a couple years ago that went from 1st round guy to undrafted because of his situation. It does not look good for Brantley that for sure It's hard to see anyone drafting him any higher than a 7th round flyer at best. If he was found guilty wouldn't he be faced with a multiple game suspension from the league when or if he joined an NFL team?

Redrafted today. I really like this draft. It really sets up the defense with depth and keeps it a strength. Only used 3 picks on offense, but really are picks that should make impacts.

http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/premium/draft.php?d=kvzgci

48: R2P16 S BUDDA BAKER WASHINGTON
I was surprised he dropped to us. Fast smallish FS that would be great next to Smith. Will have trouble covering big TE's and tackling big backs. Will be a ballhawk. Starter day one.

79: R3P15 OLB/DE TYUS BOWSER HOUSTON
Another guy dropped to us. Chad Greenway replacement. 3 down OLB that can.

86: R3P22 DT JALEEL JOHNSON IOWA
Best pass rush DT in the draft. Should start right away and play 3 downs.

120: R4P13 RB T.J. LOGAN NORTH CAROLINA
Super fast back that can play 3 downs. Line up in slot, but probably a guy that carries it 10 times a game.

128: R4P21 C PAT ELFLEIN OHIO STATE
Best center in draft. Brings nasty and leader to the OL. Starter from day one.

160: R5P16 TE JAKE BUTT MICHIGAN
Dropped because he was in recovery from injury. Potential as #1 TE that is a great receiver and can block.

199: R6P15 CB JOURDAN LEWIS MICHIGAN
Slot corner that can return kicks and tackle. Will push for playing time.

232: R7P14 DL STEVE TU'IKOLOVATU USC
Run stuffing NT that can take some snaps from Linval.

"JAKE BUTT" wait that's a real name!? Awesome. I want him. Budda Bowser and Butt those are some great names. Well done.

How many DL do you think this team is gonna have on the roster next year? :) It would be good to have to make some difficult cuts just sayin.

That is pretty funny. I didn't even think of the names.

I am not as sold on the DL as others. I figure Sharrif Floyd will be on IR. Not sold on the rest of the backups. That is why I like Jaleel Johnson here and thought Tu'Ikolovatu could be a practice squad guy. Just don't see a guy on this roster to backup Linval and stuff the run.

They guys we talked about earlier that looked like good projects likely won't be drafted according to boards I see. I really like Demarcus Walker as a DE/DT type, but hope Dante Jones fills that role for us.
